- FRAGMENTED SOULS | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Fragmented Souls. Psalm 23:3 “He restores my soul…” Top of Page FRAGMENTED SOULS Psalm 23:3 “He restores my soul…” What is the soul and where does it reside within me? Does my soul need restoration? What is a fragmented soul? Psalm 86:11 “Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; Unite (give me an undivided heart, singleness of heart) my heart to fear Your name." Within the Biblical context, the heart is the symbolic dwelling place for the spirit within us. And since our souls and our spirits are both spirits, they both dwell within us in a place called the heart, not our physical hearts. The physical human heart is strategically placed within our chest cavity, the torso, and from there it disseminates the oxygen rich life-giving substance that is in our blood. Our spiritual hearts are also located in a cavity somewhere within our torsos; however, it is an invisible place that is strategically located within us and from it flows the spiritual life and well being that comprises our persona, with its attitudes, intents, wills, and emotions. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Just like our human bodies can live and function without limbs, it appears, by the usage of the word whole by Paul, that our spirits and souls can exist and function as well while fragmented and weakened. Just like a human body can only achieve its full potential when all of its parts are present and functioning properly, it appears that it is the same way for our spirits and souls. They can only achieve their full potential when they are whole. However, unlike our human bodies that may be missing a limb or a physical part that they have to do without, it seems like our souls do not lose a part, but rather, their parts become separated or fragmented from one another. Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted (fragmented hearts, to heal means to restore to its original settings) , to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.” A brokenhearted condition, fragmented soul, causes those who are afflicted by it to be hindered in their walk. T hey become captives to their condition, blinded and unable to see clearly where their malady originates from, and therefore become oppressed by their circumstances. The good news of the Gospel is that fragmented souls can be healed! 1 Peter 1:9 “Receiving the end (goal) of your faith—the salvation (deliverance, healing, restoration) of your souls.” Not only can our fragmented souls be healed, but our goal should also be in life to attain singleness of heart. So that we can fully comprehend what is the fear or respect for our Lord’s name, which is the beginning of wisdom. How do we do it? Let me first deal with the difference between our soul and our spirit, although our emphasis in this lesson is the fragmented soul, it is important for us to know how the two interact. Unlike a fragmented soul, where its integrity is breached and its parts become segregated, I believe that the spirit operates more in the sense of an energy flow. A spirit with a very low flow of energy cannot energize the human soul to the point of being able to restore it. A spirit that has a very strong energy flow makes it a lot easier for a fragmented soul to be restored. The word for spirit, as in your whole spirit is the Greek word Pneuma from where we get the term pneumatic tool from. Pneuma means spirit, a blast or a current of air that drives something. The word for soul, as in your whole spirit, soul is the Greek word translated as Psychic, from where we get the word, psychology, the study of the human personality or mind. It means spirit as well, air/spirit that is static and waiting to be moved by a current or inflow. A rudimental way of saying it, our souls are like an invisible motor that runs on blasts or currents of air/spirit. When a person is influenced or inspired by something, that person is receiving an inflow that is moving the soul, an invisible inspiration or spiritual infusion. A soul becomes fragmented when it realizes that it has been motivated by a lie. A lie is a spiritual force that drives people away from the truth. John 8:32 “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Jesus told us that the words that He speaks to us are spirit and that they are life, and that by believing them, His words, our souls can be made free from the power of the lies that fragmented the soul to begin with. John 6:63 “It is the Spirit (Pneuma) who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” In order to heal the fragmented soul our spirits have to be born again. Born of the Spirit of truth, for it is the truth of the Word of God that is able to infuse into our spirits the level of energy required to then motivate the soul to let go of the lies that divide it. Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living (Zoe in Greek, and it means life giving and life sustaining, like spiritual blood) and powerful (Energea in Greek, and it means energy), and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” So that it is the truth of the Word of God that energizes the born- again spirit, which in turn motivates the soul to seek deliverance from oppression and bondage. It happens as soon as the soul’s spiritual eyes are opened to the truth that it has been fragmented by the lies it was told. Everything in this world system is based on a lie. Romans 1:24-25 “Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts (fragmented their souls), to dishonor their bodies (caused their bodies to malfunction) among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.” Our bodies malfunction as the result of our souls becoming fragmented, and our souls become fragmented when we reject the truth of the Word of God and end up falling for the lie. The fragmented soul can only be healed and restored as the result of an individual rejecting the lie that it believed, and embracing the truth of the Word of God, which is what spiritual discernment is all about, seeing our true condition in the mirror of His revealed Word to us. Our children as well as the rest of us face constant indoctrination attempts from the purveyors of the lie. In schools as well as through television programs we are constantly bombarded with the notion of evolution. You hear them say frequently that millions of years ago this happened and that took place, like they were there you know. These are the same people that can not even get the recent historical events right. I can disprove the theory of evolution very easy, if as they often say that we humans are the parasites that have infested this world, then why are they still here if they really believe that? In their pious pomp would they not have castrated themselves and saved the world for the sake of the animals that they worship? They don’t really believe that. They just want us to believe it so that they can feel superior. Galatians 5:12 “As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!” NIV Once our spiritual eyes are opened to their mischievousness, for they do not really want to liberate people with knowledge of the truth, but rather their aim is to imprison people with their lies; then we are free to receive the liberating truth of God’s Word that make us wise. On a personal level, we have to deal with the lies that have been perpetrated against us by the people that we knew and who were responsible for our upbringing. With the grace of God to aid us, we need to realize that many of the lies that we were subjected to as we were growing up, were non-intentional on the part of those who taught us to follow the ways of this world. For the most part they did not know what they were doing to us. They were just teaching us what they had been taught in many instances. We need to forgive in order to receive the knowledge that leads to our deliverance from the institutionalized lies of this world system. Why is it necessary to rid ourselves of man-made traditions that seem harmless even to some of us today? Anything that aided the fragmenting of the soul will keep the person whose soul was fragmented from receiving the goal of their faith, the deliverance of their souls. Psalm 24:3-5 “Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure (undivided) heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.” The word sworn literally means to affirm oneself. Within the context, sworn deceitfully, it simply means to continue practicing and believing something that is not truth. Those who continue to practice the lies that this world system espouses will not receive blessings from the Lord. The spiritual blessings that empower us to walk in the righteousness of the salvation that He has granted to us by His mercy and grace. To make our souls whole again we must rely totally on the promises offered to us by God Himself within His Word. When our souls can truly and confidently declare what our last verses of Scripture for this lesson say, then you will know that your soul has been healed to the max. Psalm 26:4-5 “I have not sat with idolatrous mortals, nor will I go in with hypocrites. I have hated the assembly of evildoers, and will not sit with the wicked.” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings
- A SPIRIT OF DEEP SLEEP | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) shows how does a nation blinds itself? By refusing to follow its destiny! Here is where I, as a Christian, disagree with many secular conservative pundits. Top of Page A SPIRIT OF DEEP SLEEP HOVERS OVER AMERICA Isaiah 29:10 “For the Lord has poured out on you the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, namely, the prophets; and He has covered your heads, namely, the seers.” These are indeed difficult times for the faithful here in America, it does not take a political or economic expert to realize that our nation is in great trouble. Morally speaking it’s even worst, we are bitterly divided, and have lost our sense of direction, and it does not look as if it’s going to get better anytime soon. In our Scripture it declares that a spirit is the culprit, a spirit of deep sleep. Now within the context, Isaiah is speaking to Jerusalem, the city of David. But within the greater context, Isaiah’s prophecy can be applied to any great nation that has lost its moral compass. Is there any doubt about America’s greatness? Surely not. Is there any doubt that America has lost her sense of direction? Not from where I’m standing. In this chapter Isaiah is lamenting about the blindness that is caused by disobedience. When persons as well as nations betray the founding principles upon which they were called and/or built, they become blinded to their mission, and become bitterly divided within themselves. The question that I asked when I first read our Scripture, was basically this, what came first? The spirit of deep sleep that closed the eyes and covered the heads of the seers. Or was it the silence of the prophets and seers that allowed the spirit of deep sleep to enter? Some may say, it does not matter at this point. But for me it is important to know, because it is through understanding that wisdom materializes, and it is wisdom that affords us a way of escape, if there is one to be found. Isaiah 29:9 “Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind…” Let us pause and wonder here for a moment. How does a nation blinds itself? By refusing to follow its destiny! Here is where I, as a Christian, disagree with many secular conservative pundits. America is a great nation not because of the many great men and women of her illustrious history, who had great forth sight into the founding and direction that this nation was to follow, and we did have them, thank God. But that is not why America is a great nation, America was destined to become a great nation by God, and I maintain, that the founding fathers knew that, and that is what made them great, they understood the will of God for the nation that they were founding. Isaiah 29:13 “Therefore the Lord said: ‘Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men.’” Have you notice how politicians here in America, after giving some great speech to their constituencies always seem to end with the phrase; God bless America. They honor God with their lips, but they really do not desire God’s will for America in their own hearts. If they did, they wouldn't be doing the things that they do behind our backs. Isaiah 29:15 “Woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from the Lord, and their works are in the dark; they say, ‘Who sees us?’ and, ‘Who knows us?’” If there is a price for a Bible verse that most reveals how our political process works now days in America, I think I have the winning entry. What was it that the former speaker of the house once said? You have to pass the bill if you want to find out what’s in it. We are finding out alright, and it's not good, so, is par for the course. But here is where we really get into trouble; Fear toward Me (this is what God says) is taught by the commandment of men. Today, morality in America is taught by those whose hearts are far from God. The entertainment industry, whose primary goal is to please their audiences and to make money, are the main drivers of our present-day culture. Pundits who are more worried about ratings than what God says, are telling us, Bible thumping does not work, basically they are saying, keep your God out of it, after all we have made our own moral codes and they are based on the commandments of man, passed by legislators and judges who do their best works in secret, out of the people’s eyes. So, if in spite of all these facts , the citizens of America decide to follow their counsel, then, blind yourselves and be blind! Isaiah 29:14 “Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work among this people, a marvelous work and a wonder; for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden.” This is how we can confirm that our nation is under a spirit of deep sleep; there is no one left on the scene that is wise or prudent enough to get us out of the mess we are in. The more they try, the deeper in the hole we get, is almost like quicksand . Every time we try to make our situation better by some legislative maneuver, it seems to work against us, and it just makes it worst, we just keep getting deeper in debt. Isaiah 29:8 “It shall be even as when a hungry man dreams, and look—he eats; but he awakes, and his soul still empty; or as when a thirsty man dreams, and look—he drinks; but he awakes, and indeed he is faint, and his soul still craves: so the multitude of all the nations shall be, who fight against Mount Zion.” Boy it cannot get any more real than what the Lord says; its like living in a dream, isn’t that what happens when you are under the influence of a spirit of deep sleep? We kid ourselves that everything is going to be alright in spite of the mess we are in, we believe it, and reassure ourselves of what we believe, but then we wake up and look at the facts, and man, it keeps getting worse, how is that for reality? One of two things will happen to us, either we as a nation wake up and repent, and ask the Lord to forgive us for deviating from the destiny for which He created America, or the Lord returns and takes the faithful away while He judges the ungodly for their ungodly acts that they have committed. Which one will it be? Well, if we repent this is what will happen: Isaiah 29:24 “These also who erred in spirit (of deep sleep) will come to understanding, and those who complained will learn doctrine.” What a beautiful promise, but here is the key; we have to come to an understanding of the truth before we can learn doctrine. Is America a special nation that God ordained to shine His light during trouble times? Yes, that is the truth! Is America currently living up to the founding principles for which God created her? No she is not, and that’s the truth! What if we do not repent as a nation? Isaiah 29:6 “ You will be punish by the Lord of hosts with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with storm and tempest and the flame of devouring fire.” The choice is clear, and no matter which pundits approve or disapprove, or what politicians or other groups are offended by our stance, our foundation is in the Bible and the confidence that we have on the inerrancy of the Holy Scriptures. Let not our speech be timid, for we have the truth on our side, so let us proclaim it boldly, for we do love this nation, and when we ask God for His blessings upon America is not a slogan that we say to incur favor with people; it flows out of a deeply thankful heart that realizes that without God’s favor upon them, the nations languish in spiritual darkness until they perish from the face of the earth to be no more. - INDIGNATION AND WRATH | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Romans 2:8 “But to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath.” Top of Page INDIGNATION AND WRATH Romans 2:8 “But to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath.” God’s indignation is kindled by those who despise God’s grace. Imagine knowing that a great disaster is about to be unleashed and that the people that are on its path are not aware of it; so you make every effort to warn those who are in the place that will soon be destroyed that they need to escape—only to be rejected and scorned by those very people you are trying to save. Rejection is what makes God indignant and causes those who reject God’s free offer of grace to fall under the wheels of God’s wrath. God’s wrath comes as the result of reaping that which we have sown. Romans 2:6 “Who will render to each one according to his deeds.” The reality is that there are people who are stubborn and who will not listen to reason, now why is that? There are probably many reasons why people behave the way they do, but in our opening text God gives us the key that exposes the root cause for rebellion—those who are self-seeking. We may not be fully aware of this truth, but if we take a close and careful look in the mirror, it will not be long before we come face to face with our mortal enemy and find that—surprise— it is us! If we want to fully understand God’s grace, His wrath, His indignation, we have to view them from the perspective of our own mortality. Let’s face it—self-seeking is hardwired into every one of us; just look at an infant, when they do not get what they want or need, they let you know it right away, and in no uncertain terms. The grace of God teaches us, first of all, about the dangers of selfish ambitions. We cannot accept God’s grace unless we first acknowledge the fact that we are in need of it. Titus 2:11-12 “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.” Once we realize that we are our own worst enemy, and that God’s wrath will fall upon those whose deeds do not live up to God’s standards, then, the only logical conclusion that we are left with is that we are in need of His grace, so that we repent and accept His offer of forgiveness. But if after we have received His forgiveness, we despise His grace by continuously seeking our own selfish ways—after we’ve been delivered from the consequences of them—do we kindle then, His indignation, and fall back into the wrath that He worked so hard to deliver us from? Romans 2:4-5 “Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God.” It is clear that Paul is addressing believers in his letters that he wrote to the churches. It is also clear that only those who are under God’s grace, are in a position to despise such grace. For how can we despise something that we have not personally experienced? Wrath in the day of wrath. God’s salvation has two basic components: Forgiveness and cleansing. 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” The theological terms are Justification and Sanctification. Justification happens instantly, as soon as we confess our sins before God in Jesus name, we are immediately forgiven. Sanctification is a process which begins the day that we are justified. This process is God’s mechanism to deliver us—cleanse us—from the consequences of all the sins that we have committed. The agent that God uses to bring about His forgiveness and cleansing in us, is His grace: For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age. In Justification we pass from death into life in an instant. The same grace that saves us, now preserves us, while the process of Sanctification takes place. In order to receive salvation, we have to ask God for it with a repentant heart. In the process of sanctification, we have to learn how to deny ourselves and live for God, by the power of His grace that sustains us. For we know that those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness fall under the indignation of God’s wrath. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 “For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Remember that salvation has two components, forgiveness gets us into heaven, and cleansing delivers us from the wrath of God’s indignation. 1 Corinthians 3:11, 13, 15 “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ (our salvation)...Each one’s work (selfish ambition or self-denial) will become clear; for the Day (of God’s wrath) will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is...If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss (cleansing from the consequences of their sins while on this earth); but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.” Salvation is a gift which cannot be earned; those who truly repent and accept God’s grace and forgiveness of sins, are immediately justified and on their way to heaven. But while here on earth after we get saved, the grace of God teaches us to deny ourselves and to flee from all the worldly lusts and self-seeking that got us into the mess we were in before we got saved. Refusing to deny ourselves incurs God’s indignation and wrath in the day of His wrath, so that we miss out in the cleansing part. Matthew 10:39 “He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake (denies himself to receive the cleaning) will find it.” If we still go to heaven, what is it then that we lose? Every believer that dies goes before the Judgment Seat of Christ, which is a judgment of rewards or the forfeiting of them as we read in: 1 Corinthians 3:14-15 “If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.” To the Corinthians Paul is talking about the works that those who were saved and died, built on the foundation of their salvation, and about what happens on the coming Day of judgment that will reveal whether those works were the result of self-seeking or self-denial. But what Paul is talking about in his letter to the Romans is what happens in the Day of His Wrath to those who are alive when He returns to the earth, and finds them doing their own works instead of being sanctified to do the Lord’s work. Luke 12:46-47 “The master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.” Notice first, how Jesus considers the servant to be a believer who was unprepared and not looking for His return. After cutting him in two, He assigns that servant a portion with the unbelievers, which is to be beaten with many stripes. What did Jesus mean by cutting him in two? I believe Jesus was referring to the separation between the justification and the sanctification of that wicked servant. He was still considered a saved servant who belonged to Him. But since he did not prepare or sanctify himself for His master’s return, he must suffer punishment before he is restored, which is the indignation of God’s wrath. His portion with the unbelievers means that he has to go through the wrath that those who rejected God’s free grace must go through, but God will save him after his many stripes are completed. If we read Revelation chapter three where the fate of the last two churches is decreed by Jesus Himself before His return, we find that the Philadelphia church is spared from the hour of trial—wrath—that is coming upon the whole world to test those who live in the world, because they kept His Word and did not deny His name. Revelation 3:8, 10 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door (the rapture), and no one can shut it; for you have little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name...Because you have kept My command to persevere (through sanctification), I also will keep you from the hour of trial (God’s indignation and wrath) which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” Then we read about the Laodicea church, and we see a different story. Revelation 3:18-19 “I counsel you to buy from Me gold (sanctification) refined in the fire...As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten (discipline). Therefore be zealous and repent.” The good news is, as of this writing, the rapture has not taken place yet. Jesus’ offer to be zealous and repentance is still available to all who believe. It is never too late to start denying ourselves for the sake of Jesus Christ and for the glory of His Gospel of peace. What ever it is that our self-seeking is gaining for us in this life is not worth losing the eternal rewards that follow faithfulness to the Word of God. There is no comparison between a few years and eternity. All that we possess will be left behind the day that we are taken away from this earthly realm. There are no u-hauls attached to the hearse. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. Let us make haste, for Jesus is coming very soon. - THE CONFORMED DOES NOT TRANSFORM | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind... Top of Page THE CONFORMED DOES NOT TRANSFORM Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” If you ask any reasonable person today to explain the disconnect that so many have with reality, they would be hard pressed to explain it, for truly everything that is going on today in all levels of society does not make any sense whatsoever. Here in the US for example, polls tell us that a majority of Americans want to get rid of their elected officials at any given time, yet every two years we have elections, and by a margin of over ninety percent the same incumbents get reelected, how do you explain that? A majority here complain that the government is too big, and that its spending is out of control, and that for the money they get from us we are not well served by our government. Yet a majority always complains when efforts are made to reduce the government and the power that it now has to control every aspect of our lives. How do we explain such contradictions? The world at large and the United States in particular, do not have a physical problem, and by that I mean that we do not lack the ability to receive information and the knowledge that allows us to make sense of what is going on all around us if we are rational, but we are not. In reality what we are facing is a spiritual problem! Some will say that we have lost our moral compass, and we have, but that is not the root of it, for there has always been immoral behavior in every nation that ever existed, including the US. In our opening text, the relationship is made between our ability to reason, the renewing of our minds, and our conforming to this world system. The more that we become one with our present world system, the less capable that we are in making sound judgments that are based in simple human reasoning; that is the point of our opening text. What is the difference then, between our present day generation and past generations that knew exactly what it was that was required of them? The dissemination of information! In the past, our world was a limited world, the rules that governed the areas where people lived back then, had been developed through generations of families that through trial and error had developed the moral concepts that they handed down to their children, good or bad, but that only applied to the very specific areas where they lived. So that there was back then a diversity of thought and many different applications of faith, that allowed reasonable people to make a determination as to whether what they believed was right or wrong based on the behavior of others when compared to their own, and with it the ability to improve their belief system where it was needed. So that there was not a worldwide uniform code that compelled others to conform to a narrow standard of moral thinking. Daniel 12:4 “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” The dawn of the twentieth century was a pivotal point for all mankind, for with the industrial revolution came the reality that, knowledge shall increase, and those early visionaries did not want the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be the standard by which the world became one. For in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, individuals are free to choose for themselves and their families the kind of world, or community, they wanted to be a part of, for they were given individual rights to life and liberty and for the pursuit of happiness from their Creator Himself. Socialism, however, offered a better system for those whose aim was always to rule the world, for socialism debases the individual for the sake of empowering the state. The culture of today is not our grandfather’s culture. It did not evolve out of individual societies that through trial and error had chosen to pass to their children in what they thought would be the best for them, what they commonly called, the moral values of their faith. The culture of today has been manufactured by those illuminated ones who think of us humans as a commodity that they must somehow manage through force and coercion. But we humans present a different problem for their methods of how they manage the world through the herd mentality, for we have the ability to reason and the capacity for sound understanding. In the information age, he who controls the output of information, also controls the behavior of the herd. If what our children learn in school about culture today is the same thing that they learn at home through nationwide television shows that sometimes reach the entire world, before long, they lose the connection to their heritage that is not being portrayed on these shows, especially if they are able to relate more to the belief system of a fictional family on television than to their own heritage. And as we see these things played out in television shows that deal with relationships and morality, as well as in the news and in social media, as to what is good and who is bad being reinforced daily in every facet of our society, eventually our capacity to compare and to choose between the present system and something else that disappeared or has been disparaged, is lost. That is why society is where it is today, unable to make decisions that are based on sound judgment. But be transformed by the renewing of your mind! How can you choose if you have no choice? Information is presented today by this world wide information conglomerate, as if what they believe is right and what everybody else believes, or believed, is wrong, for they see themselves as the gate keepers of information. They ridicule anything and everything that does not conform to what they present as knowledge; knowledge that is biased and based on laughable theories. But we do have a choice. Next time when some know it all tells you what happened one billion years ago, ask him to show you the video, lol. Let me show you what is more real than any empirical evidence that you have ever witnessed: The end time prophecies found in the Word of God! For they are the pages of history written in advance for all to see. Isaiah 46:9-10 “Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.’” It is not until you say no to the nonsense of this world, for this world is passing away along with the knowledge it professes, and say yes to the eternal Word of God, that you will be able to renew your mind and finally find a real choice that is evidently clear. That you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Every time I see a contest between human knowledge and the wisdom of God, I cannot help but laugh. I picture in my mind natives aiming their primitive bows and shooting their arrows at a 747 airliner at 40,000 feet, trying hard to bring it down and I can almost hear them saying, Oh, shoot another arrow, you almost got it with the last one! I know that for some who might be reading this, because you have been fed so much bull that passed for knowledge all your life that it might be difficult for you to see it from my perspective. So let me run a little scenario pass you that might help you understand the preeminence of the Word of God in all things. I was born in 1947 and let’s say that someone gets all the curriculum that was used that year to graduate students from the highest places of learning back then. Let them study those books and pass all the tests. Will they get a diploma from those prestigious universities today? Of course not! What they learned back then is old knowledge today. Okay, let me ask you this, will the knowledge that all the graduates learned this year be up to date for future graduates, let’s say sixty six years from now? Of course not; new year, new books, new knowledge. Let me see if I get this right, they want me to put my trust in knowledge that by their own reasoning will not be trustworthy tomorrow? Now go and get a Bible that was printed in 1947, open it to Genesis 1:1 and read it. I do not know if out of the many Bibles that I own, if any of them was printed in 1947, but I can tell you this, Genesis 1:1 in those Bibles that were printed in 1947 read like this: In the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Get a Bible that was just printed and I guarantee you that it says the same thing, just as it will sixty six years from now in the Bibles that are yet to be printed, just like it read when Moses first wrote it 3500 years ago. Do you want to put your trust on fallible knowledge that is here today and gone tomorrow? Is this what you want your epithet to read: He trusted a fallacy, and what he knew came to naught? Life is a learning experience that has many twists and turns, but if we are not careful, the devil in his cunningness is able to rob humans of their God giving ability to reason properly and to make the right choices for their lives and their families lives, as we can see many today that simply do not have a clue. Don’t get caught up with this world that you end up conforming to it. For if you do, your mind will not be able to receive the transformation that allows you to think and reason as an individual. Matthew 24:38-39 “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Do not be hoodwinked by the present deception that is taking place all around us. Wise up! We are living in perilous times and the only thing that we can ever fully trust is the Word of God. More Teachings Found Here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings
- SALVATION INTO THE UTTERMOST | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Hebrews 7:24-25 “But He (Jesus), because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Top of Page SALVATION INTO THE UTTERMOST Hebrews 7:24-25 “But He (Jesus), because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” In verse twenty five we find one of the most powerful statements in regards to why there is an end of times coming soon. The problem with humanity is that for some reason we just keep dying off. Man’s dream of living in a manmade utopia is always shattered by that inconvenient little thing we call death. No matter how hard religion works to perfect its patrons, by the time they seem to be getting the hang of true religion, they die. No matter how many laws politicians enact, they cannot abolish death. It does not matter how many new drugs science discovers, they cannot cure death. If religion, science, government, and whatever else we try cannot remove man’s mortal enemy, death, then what can? That is the question that Hebrews chapter seven answers. Jesus is the antidote for death because He is the only perfect human, He always lives and His life continues forever. Why is Jesus coming back? To eradicate death! But before He comes we need to understand that eternity has to be a perfect place with perfect people if it is going to be a happy place. Imagine an eternity with lawless people living with no fear of death, a place where they can commit the most horrific acts against other humans over and over and not be held accountable for their deeds, is not that what hell would be like? He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him: What does it mean by uttermost? Completely and/or forever! If eternity is going to be perfect, it has to be made not only of people that are perfect but of people that will always be perfect, after all, if we live in an eternity out of which we can be kicked out of, it would not be a happy eternity for those who get kicked out, or for those who live in fear of being kicked out. Are we, flawed humans, going to become perfect? That depends on whether we pass life’s test or not. But before I tell you about the test of life, let me tell you this, all humans are going to live forever in their physically resurrected human bodies, whether they like it or not. Their final destination will depend on this and this alone: Jesus and what they believe He is to them! Jesus has been appointed by God to be the intermediary between man and God forever. That is why Jesus has the first perfect and eternal human body, so that He can speak to God on behalf of fallen man. Jesus always lives to make intercession between as and God forever, without Jesus there is no happy eternity for any man. Hebrews 7:22 “By so much more Jesus has become a surety (guarantee) of a better covenant.” But before eternity can be ushered in death has to be destroyed forever, and before death is destroyed forever, mankind has to take life’s final test. Those who pass the test graduate into a new and eternal reality of happiness and bliss, and those who fail the test are discarded into an eternal reality of doom and gloom forever. Revelation 3:10 “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” In between, before the final global test is administered, we are personally required to pass the test individually before our time to taste of the elixir of death comes. Now, notice how He says, because you kept My command to persevere, persevere on what? His Word, He told those who are alive before the final test begins, because you have kept My Word and have not denied My name I will keep you from the hour of testing, meaning they had already passed the test. Revelation 3:8 “I know your works. See, I have set before an open door (of escape), and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My Word, and have not denied My name.” What power is it that is in the Word of God and in the name of Jesus that is able to save us and to keep us safe forever? Hebrew 7:16 “Who has come (Jesus the Word made flesh), not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless (human) life.” Why do we have to pass a test before we die? Death is the door that leads all humans into eternity, but before we graduate into eternity, we have to choose which eternity we want to enter into; because into whatever eternity we enter, into that eternity we will stay forever; heaven is good, hell is bad and there is no in between. Now in order for us to enter the heavenly eternity, we have to realize that our fallen nature has to be changed, for nothing that’s flawed can enter the heavenly eternity; but I am flawed, you may say, and you would be right, because that’s exactly what the Word of God says about us: 1 John 1:8 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” But then, what gives? 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Here is the test; since I’ve confessed all my sins before God in the name of Jesus, almost thirty seven years ago, I have had to trust His Word that says that He forgave me all my sins, past, present, and future, and I have had to trust His Word that says that He has cleansed me from all my unrighteousness, in the face of all my many failings during all those years, and I have had to endure patiently, by faith believing that what He says trumps the way that I feel about my mortal condition. But if in any of those years had Jesus asked me, do you want to remain the same or do you want me to change you? My answer would have been immediate and certain as it would be today; change me Lord, I don’t want to sin anymore, please take all my sins away. So that if I would have died, I would have died in faith that His grace was sufficient for me, and my longings for true righteousness He would have immediately fulfilled upon my entering eternity in accordance with His promises. Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” The test is all about trust, who do we trust? Our human condition or God’s promises, let me give you a hint if you struggle with this, it is because it has to do with what is really real in your heart. Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” A pure heart begins with the reality of how worthless and how wicked we really are deep within. Our potential for wickedness is without measure, for as the Word of God declares, the heart is desperately wicked, who can know it? But God knows it, and He wants to replace our wicked heart with the heart of love that Jesus demonstrated for us, that while we were yet sinners Christ died of us. It is that remarkable revelation that Jesus loves me to the uttermost that sustains me. He will never quit on me, and I will never give up my trusting in Him and in all of the precious promises found in His Word. He is my High Priest, His continuous intercession before God Most High on my behalf is never ending, and when this body of mine is finally made perfect, through the rapture if I am alive at His return, or in the resurrection if I am in the sleep of death before He comes, I will never ever cease to worship Him and declare His faithfulness to me before all the creation. And in the here and now, whether by word or thought, I do not cease to thank Him and praise Him, for He is my life and the sustainer of it. Outside of Him I have nothing, without Him I am nothing, and in the absence of His promises in my life I have the expectation of nothing good. 1 Timothy 1:17 “Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.”. More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings
- COME NOW, AND LET US REASON TOGETHER | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like... Top of Page COME NOW, AND LET US REASON TOGETHER Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Life is a constant ending of things that previously began. I can safely say that every human that was born one hundred and fifty years ago is dead right now. And it would be a pretty safe bet to declare, that if Jesus does not return on the next one hundred and fifty years, that all humans who are alive today will also be dead then. What gives us humans the ability to transcend this cycle of life and death, is that we have been endowed with the capacity to reason, that is, to think outside of whatever current circumstance we are in, and imagine a life that not only lives, but thrives, outside of the perimeters that constantly hems us in, and that keep us bound to our present reality. Job 14:14 “If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait, till my change comes.” It is our God given ability to reason that allows us to believe a thought that is foreign to our present reality, that a divine change will one day come, a change that is both personal and general in nature. This change has to do with the question that Job poses, If a man dies, shall he live again? Personally speaking it asks, will I live again? And since all men have died and continue to die throughout the ages, generally speaking it asks, will the all live again as well, after the change has come? So that mortal man, unlike unreasoning animals, can picture in his mind a life of immortality, an idea so at odds with our human environment, that it has to originate from an Eternal God. We see that every culture, past or present, is intuitively knitted with an idea that in the natural is extremely foreign to man, the thought of immortality; yet in spite of such overwhelming evidence, the fact that humans throughout the ages have reasoned that which in the natural seems unreasonable, still, many nations and peoples refuse to acknowledge the fact that man was originally created for a divine purpose. Isaiah 1:2-3 “Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! For the Lord has spoken: I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against Me; The ox knows its owner and the donkey its master’s crib; but Israel does not know, My people (humans) do not consider (they have a willful lack of understanding).” It is humanly impossible to understand the times of the end without a reasonable understanding of the fact that a change must come. So let us ask the question, why is it a fact that a change must come? Humans were never destined to live in sin forever! Contrary to popular belief humans are not mortal, not before God, for to Him all live, that makes us humans immortal, and every human knows that intuitively. But before we can enter into immortality with God, our rebellious nature has to be disposed of, we must be made cleaned first, for our God is a holy God. In our opening verse God tells us that our sins are like a stain that has to be removed before we can enter into His eternal abode, that is also a foreign reasoning that comes to us directly from God. Have you ever bathed your dog only to see him run out and do a couple of rolls in the grass or dirt? Animals do not understand the concept of dirtiness or sin, only humans can relate to that concept; where does our ability to relate to filth and to sins comes from? Since we intuitively know that a change is coming, that leads us to believe that a preparation is necessary before we translate into that change, it comes natural. Without knowing, one that a change is coming, and two, that we must prepare ourselves for that change, we become like unreasoning animals that have no concept of eternity and end up dying in our sins. Isaiah 1:6 “From the sole of the foot even to the head, there is no soundness in it, but wounds and bruises and putrefying sores; they have not been closed or bound up, or soothed with ointment.” What makes us humans valuable to God is our ability to reason with Him, for if we understand Him, then we know what He expects from us, and what we can expect from Him, then we can make a reasonable choice to be and abide with Him as an act of our will, based on an intelligent decision made on the merits of the facts. With Him there is love, joy, peace, health, beauty, provision, eternal protection, happiness. Without Him there is nothing but eternal pain, sufferings, and sorrows, this is not brain surgery friends! Any half-witted reasoning will get us to make the right choice. Unless we are not willing to believe, which is the case in many instances, many will rather ignore sound reasoning for the temporary joy of rolling in the mud without guilt for a season. But if they really knew about eternity, and how much is really at stake, I doubt that any reasoning soul would be willing to risk an eternity of suffering for a few moments of frivolous carnal indulgence, I am, of course, speaking here about unsaved people. Isaiah 1:16-17 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.” For those of us who walk in the light of God’s salvation, we know that it is the precious blood of Jesus that turned our scarlet sins into snow white purity, and our crimson stain into precious white wool. We already believe in the resurrection from the dead and walk in the certainty that is, the age that is to come; so far this message has been a call that is aimed at the unbelievers, as I appealed to their ability to reason outside of carnal reasoning. Next I will bring into focus the role of the backsliders during the end times, those who already heard and believed the Gospel, but somehow have been dissuaded from following the plan of salvation that God has ordained for their lives. Isaiah 1:27-28 “Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and her penitents (returners) with righteousness. The destruction of transgressors and of sinners shall be together, and those who forsake the Lord shall be consumed.” There is nothing like a close call with death to get us back into the reality of life. That is why the end time, what the Bible calls the day of the Lord, will be such a frightful and terrifying event. Joel 2:1, 11 “Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of the Lord is coming, for it is at hand...The Lord gives voice before His army, for His camp is very great; for strong is the One who executes His word. For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; who can endure it?” Our redemption is going to be a messy business, for it will involve the beginning of the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners that get left behind, our redemption initiates God’s judgments against all those who forsake the Lord. The back sliders that repent (returners) in the face of the coming judgments, will be delivered with righteousness and kept out of the judgment. Those who have never believed and repent by calling on the name of the Lord, when confronted with the impending judgments, will also be delivered with righteousness, since they knew by instinct that a change was coming. Acts 2:19-21 “I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Someone cynically may ask, if we will know of His imminent return, then why don’t we just live like hell now and repent when the wonders and signs are revealed before His coming? Isaiah 1:15 “When you spread (pray) out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.” Do you know whose blood your hands would be full of? If you reasoned that God was going to put an end to our present reality some day by ushering in a change, and then decided that when and if that really happened, that you would just somehow get on board of the salvation train and repent. Don’t you know that by your act of selfishness, those who might have known what was revealed to you, will never get the opportunity for salvation that they could of have, had you been a faithful witness to them, instead of living it up in the world. By your false witness before them, their blood is now in your hands and tribulation is the only hope left for you. Matthew 24:5 “For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.” The world has been totally saturated with stories of ancient aliens visiting humans in the past, which is nothing more than doctrines of demons that aim to prepare the unbelieving world to reject our Lord and Savior when He is revealed, by portraying Him falsely; causing those who lack Biblical understanding to flee to the mountains and mourn at His revelation instead of calling on Him to save then. Revelation 1:7 “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.” Those of us who know the truth have been charged with the task of identifying the real Messiah at His appearing by our willingness and readiness to meet Him. 2 Timothy 4:8 “Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved (and are expectantly waiting for) His appearing.” Revelation 7:9-10 “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!’” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings
- THE HEIGHT AND WIDTH OF THE TREE OF LIFE | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) shows whatever we may be lacking in our perception of the written language is more than made up by the mathematical structure built within God’s Word that our spirit intuitively understands. Top of Page THE HEIGHT AND WIDTH OF THE TREE OF LIFE Ezra 6:3 “In the first year of King Cyrus, King Cyrus issued a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem: ‘Let the house be rebuilt, the place where they offered sacrifices; and let the foundations of it be firmly laid, its height sixty cubits and its width sixty cubits.’” Within Bible context numbers have very defined meanings; from the Genesis creation narrative we find that the number six is a fundamental part of the creation, since it took God six days to complete the entire creation. We also find that the number six is an intricate part of time itself; as in sixty seconds in a minute and sixty minutes in an hour. Because of that, the number six is symbolic of both time and man, since man was created on the sixth day. We could say that the number six in the Bible refers to man’s time here on earth, and we see that represented on the foundation of the house of God at Jerusalem, the foundation or the root, the beginning of the tree of man, represented by the number sixty, and its height, the completion of how high man’s reach would attain, represented by the number sixty as well. Of course the cardinal points, and the points of the compass, that point man to the different directions into which the tree of man can grow is represented by the number three hundred and sixty, which is a simple multiplication of 60X6 = 360. Proverbs 20:24 “A man’s steps (his progression) are of the Lord; how then can a man understand his own way?” The answer to the question posed by our verse of Scripture is this: Through our understanding of the progression of the numbers; after all, we live in a mathematically correct universe. As a bilingual person I have a personal understanding of how difficult it is to translate from one language to another, because similar words do not always carry the same emphasis or stay true to their original meaning when transliterated. Even for those who only operate in one language, you know how difficult it can be to express yourselves sometimes, when spoken words seem inadequate to fully vent your emotions. But not so with numbers, for numbers are the perfect language, you cannot mistranslate a mathematical equation. Two times two will always equal four no matter what language you are using. The Word of God is not only Perfect in Truth, the truth it portrays no matter what language it is translated into, but the Word of God is Truth Perfected in its mathematical structure as well. Whatever we may be lacking in our perception of the written language is more than made up by the mathematical structure built within God’s Word that our spirit intuitively understands. In other words, there is a mathematical rhythm that governs the creation, including mankind, that causes our souls to move along or dance to, if you will, to the heavenly symphony. Now if I use dance as an example, not everybody dancing on the dance floor necessarily knows how to dance, some are just moving to the beat as they interpret it with their own bodies, and even those who may be moving along pretty good at the rhythm of the music, who may qualify as good dancers, may not necessarily understand the mathematical components that are built within the music that they are dancing to, but nevertheless they intuitively flow with it and enjoy it. But to those who understand the mathematical structure of the creation, the width and the height of the reach of man, a perception relative to their position in the tree of life is given, which allows them to dance the dance of life in perfect synchronization to the beat of the universe. Simply put, they are the ones that march in time with the times. 1 Chronicles 12:32 “Of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do…” Isn’t this what life is really about? Timing: doing the things that need to be done at the proper time. But the key here is knowledge, to have an understanding of, or to be aware of the times in which we are living. Proverbs 24:3-4 “Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” Here we see the progression of the steps that are ordered for man’s edification enumerated. If the house typifies a person, and it does, wisdom then represents the blueprint for that person’s life. It is through the understanding of the blueprint for that person’s life that the house is then established in accordance with what the blueprint defines that house or person should be. Psalm 127:1 “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.” In other words, a person needs to understand what God’s plan for their life is, that is wisdom, if that person tries to establish his/her life outside of God’s plan for their lives, they labor in vain, that is foolishness. It is through the knowledge and implementation of this revelation of the wisdom of God, that the rooms of the human heart are filled with pleasant and precious things, which are the fruits of the Spirit of God. How do I know whether or not I am living a life that is built on the wisdom of God? Proverbs 24:5, 10 “A wise man is strong, yes, a man of knowledge increases strength...If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.” Proverbs is only stating the obvious, if our faith is failing it is only because of our failure to understand the knowledge of God’s purpose for our lives, and our present position in the tree of life. Let us look at the numbers: God completed the creation in six days; Moses tells us in Psalm 90 that a day is like a thousand years to the Lord; we have about six thousand years of recorded human history within the biblical genealogy. We are fast approaching the closing of the church age which is the sixth dispensation in God’s chronology before we enter into the seventh dispensation of God’s rest. Jesus told us that the last generation would be the product of a world that was at war, where nations rose against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms, and that the end of the age would come before that generation ended. Daniel told us that in the last generation knowledge would increase exponentially and that travel would be world wide. By this many signs we can conclude that our position in the tree of life is that of fruit that is ripen and ready to be harvested; so that our lives need to be built in accordance to that. Did you know that for us, the saints of the end times, we are a generation that will leave no history behind us. What history will record about the saints of the end is that Jesus came and redeemed them. If you read the book of the Acts of the Saints it does not end, it is left open so that a future entry can be made on behalf of the saints that left no legacy other than that of remaining watchful and faithful to the very end. John 21:1-2 “After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself: Simon Peter, Thomas called the twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee (two), and two others of His disciples were together.” Both the names and the number of the disciples in this account, give us insight into how Jesus is going to show Himself when He returns at the end of times. In other words, this event happened to typify a future event that will occur in our present day end time. Peter represents the Rock or Truth found in the promises of the Word of God upon which God’s church was founded and which Jesus is coming to redeem. Thomas represents the once doubters who have been enlightened by the accuracy of Biblical prophecy concerning the truth of Jesus’ imminent return. Nathanael represents the gift of God, which is our eternal salvation that Jesus brings with Him. The two sons of Zebedee means the sons of thunder, for Jesus will appear like a bolt of lightning that flashes across the sky at His coming. And the two unnamed others are representative of the Two Witnesses who will return with Jesus and stay here on the earth after the rapture. And the total of seven disciples present at His return means that all those who are resurrected and rapture at that time enter into the Day of His Rest, the Sabbath, or seventh day. John 21:8 “But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with the fish.” The two hundred cubits symbolizes the two days or two thousand years that the church age has been dragging in the net with the fish, which is representative of the church age. John 21:11 “Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken.” Here we see the completion of the harvested tree of life. Out of the six thousand years of time come forth one hundred and forty four generations, twenty four hours in one day represents twenty four generations every thousand years. 24 X 6 = 144 The church age is represented by the number seven. And the Two Witnesses that oversee here on the earth, after the rapture, the punishment inflicted on those who did not believe, to bring them to repentance, both of the Jews and of the church that were left behind. 144 generations + 7 the church + 2 witnesses = 153 grand total redeemed. We see this pattern also inside the Holy Place in the tabernacle of Moses, where the Table of Showbread had twelve loaves of bread that represented the twelve tribes of Israel. In Revelation chapter seven we see twelve thousand out of every tribe sealed: 12 X 12 = 144 or one hundred and forty four thousand. Opposite of the Table of Showbread, inside the Holy Place was the Menorah, the seven candle sticks which represented the church, the body of Christ. And on each side of the Menorah, two olive trees representative of the Two Witnesses, for a total of one hundred and fifty three, which completes the redemption of all the children of Light, a number so vast, that no one could count, and it can only be represented within the width and height of the Tree of Life. Revelation 7:9 “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands.” Make sure that you are one of those numbered , make sure that you are building your life in the expectation of Christ’s soon return.
