  • THE MIGHTY ONE IS COMING | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will... Top of Page THE MIGHTY ONE IS COMING, HE WILL SAVE US. Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” There has never been a time in the history of the Christian church when so many of the signs that point to the end of times have been revealed, and when so many of the end time prophecies that precede the Lord’s return have been fulfilled. We are not only the generation that will witness the glorious return of our Lord to save us, but we are right in the end of the time that has been allotted to that final generation. The return of our Lord is imminent! It is implied in our opening text that before our Lord returns, that it would be a time of great turbulence and upheaval, for we are told that at His return He will quiet us with His love. Let us take a sober look at how the events that are taking place all around us right now fit within the prophetic scenario that is given before the return of our Lord. Zephaniah 3:1-2 “Woe to her who is rebellious and polluted, to the oppressing city! She has not obeyed His voice, she has not received correction; she has not trusted in the Lord, she has not drawn near to her God.” When Zephaniah first uttered his prophetic words, they were meant as an indictment against the city of Jerusalem and the people of Judah. But it is very clear within the context of his prophecy that there is a double meaning to his prophetic vision that clearly is applicable to what the prophet calls the day of the Lord’s fierce anger, that foretells about the end of time, as we see in the opening verses of his prophetic vision. Zephaniah 1:2-3 “I will utterly consume (make a complete end of) everything from the face of the land, says the Lord; I will consume man and beast; I will consume the birds of the heavens, the fish of the sea, and the stumbling blocks (idols) along with the wicked. I will cut off man from the face of the land (ground), says the Lord.” It is clear from the sweeping judgments against man, beast, sea, ground, air, idols, and the wicked, presented in the opening of this prophecy, that God was clearly foretelling something more than what their present condition required. He was also speaking about the Day of the Lord’s wrath during the time of the latter days, our present day time. So that when He said in the previous verse: Woe to her who is rebellious and polluted about the city of Jerusalem of Zephaniah’s day, that He also had an end time entity in mind as well. It is very possible that the Lord is referring to a large portion of end time Christianity, what He calls in Revelation the Laodicea church. Revelation 3:15-17 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.” It is clear from the context that our Lord’s focus is against Christian religious organizations of the end times that seem to be standing in their own merits and traditions, rather than having a continuous need for the Lord to be their entire focus; refusing the correction of the Holy Spirit, and not fully trusting in the Lord as their redeemer, having need of nothing. When a church entity becomes organized to the point that their bylaws and traditions take precedent over the guidance and counsel of the Holy Spirit, that church entity is in rebellion to the will of God for her and by her rebellion becomes polluted; it ceases to be a house of deliverance and becomes a house of oppressing legalism. If we think of the two thousand years church history as training and preparation for an event that will surpass every other event in human history, the coming of the Mighty One, then we can see why it is so important that the church be obedient and prepared, for we do not know how events will unfold before His return, so that we need to be in tune with His Word and with the revelation that the Holy Spirit brings to get us ready to be taken up with Him in a moments notice. Zephaniah 3:4 “Her prophets are insolent, treacherous people; her priests have polluted (profaned) the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law (did not stay true to His Word).” In the book of Revelation, the difference between the Philadelphia church that gets taken up in the rapture, and the Laodicea church that gets left behind, is that the Philadelphia church kept His Word and did not deny the Lord’s name, obviously the Laodicea church had need of none of those things, for it could stand on its own religious merits. Zephaniah 3:5 “The Lord is righteous in her midst, He will do no unrighteousness, every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails, but the unjust knows no shame.” The Lord makes it very clear that even though the Laodicea church is in disobedience, that it still belongs to Him for He is in her midst, and after all, He promised His church to never leave her nor to forsake her; so if He were to abandon her that would be wrong, and He will do no unrighteousness, even if they continuously flaunt their disobedience in spite of His daily warnings against her, but they seem to know no shame. Who are these people? It is hard for me to reconcile the Christianity that I know with some of the people that are described as Christian ministers during the end of time in many of the end time prophecies. But Zephaniah gives us some great insight that will help us identify who some of these people might be, for they will be sharing some of the same qualities that the prophets and priests of his days had. Zephaniah 1:4-5 “I will stretch out My hand against Judah, and against the inhabitants of Jerusalem (for our present day interpretation this prophecy is against the Laodicea church). I will cut every trace of Baal (the false lord, or the other Jesus that they preach) from this place, (along with) the names of the idolatrous priests (Christian ministers that practice or follow pagan traditions along) with the pagan priests—those who worship the host of heaven on the house tops (astrologers); those who worship and swear oaths by the Lord (clearly referring to Christians), but also swear by Milcom (or Molech, to whom infants were offered as sacrifices during Zephaniah’s time, our present day abortionists).” We can clearly see that in end time Christianity there will be different churches, that to different degrees, will preach another Jesus, along with a different gospel that is influenced by the spirit of paganism, and that many of them will be supporters of abortion rights. And this is what they will acknowledge by their actions, the actions that will eventually bring God’s judgment upon them: Zephaniah 1:6 “Those (these are they that) who have turned back from following the Lord, and have not sought the Lord, nor inquired of Him.” Zephaniah 1:12 “And it shall come to pass at that time that I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and punish the men who are settled in complacency (lukewarmness, the Laodicea church), who say in their heart, ‘The Lord will not do good, nor will He do evil.’” If religion has a goal, it is that of pushing God out to the back so that it, religion, can become the final arbiter in any given matter. In order to do that it has to neutralize God first, to the point where God becomes a bystander, a simple observer, and therefore it falls upon religion the sacred duties of deciding what is right and what is wrong. However, this is what God says is going to happen to religion when the time for God to act finally comes: Zephaniah 1:13 “Therefore their goods shall become booty, and their houses a desolation; they shall build houses, but not inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards, but not drink their wine.” What it finally boils down to is the fact that religion cannot sustain itself in the day of God’s wrath. For the day of God’s wrath is a day when the truth is revealed, and religion is built on a myth, the myth that God is not active in man’s affairs, and that He will not involve Himself in the everyday workings of His creation. This is why the belief that Jesus is coming back soon for His church, to set up His everlasting kingdom, is laughed at by many within the Laodicea church today. But how is this for their wake-up call! Zephaniah 1:14-16 “The great day of the Lord is near; it is near and hastens quickly, the noise of the day of the Lord is bitter; there the mighty men shall cry out. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of devastation and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, a day of trumpet and alarm against the fortified cities and against the high towers.” If I can encapsulate the flavor of what the prophet is telling us, this is how I would do it: That the day of the Lord is COMING SOON! And that the day of the Lord is REAL! And that the day of the Lord if going to be a BAD DAY! The day of the Lord is a day from which we will need to be RESCUED! The only way that a reasonable person, a person that calls himself a believer, cannot understand the clarity with which the Scriptures describes the end of times, is if such a person just decides that God does not mean what he says in His Word. In other words, they do not keep His Word, because if they do they would have to do away with all of their idolatries and man made doctrines. But as usual there is hope for those of us who put our hope in Him, and who trust on the veracity of God’s Word, and not on the corrupted religious traditions of men and demons by which so many unwilling Christians are enslave into their idolatry. Zephaniah 2:3 “Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, who have held up His justice (Word). Seek righteousness (not religion), seek humility (realize that we are always in need of Him and His grace). It may be that you will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger.” There is a price to pay for being an ardent adherent of God’s Word, there is no doubt about that. We are ridiculed constantly for the fervency with which we believe the inerrancy of Scripture, many a times from our own quarters. We are defamed in many instances, not just by the world, but by Laodicean Christians that believe that our stance against compromise with the world is a hindrance to their version of Christianity being accepted by the world, even though we are clearly warned in Scripture against being loved by the world or us loving the things that the world stands for: 1 John 2:15 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in Him.” But you see, once you start denying the parts of Scripture that hinder what it is that you want to accomplish in what you yourself believe, then what is there to keep you from removing anything else from Scripture that does not conform with your relationship with the world? Here is the reason why we need to stay true to the Word of God. This is what God promises those who endure the afflictions of their ridicule and ostracizing for our staying true, in spite of their persecution and defamation, to the Word of God. Zephaniah 3:18-20 “I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly (the condition of the Laodicean church), who are among you, to whom its reproach is a burden. Behold, at that time I will deal with all who afflict you; I will save the lame (those whose ministry was hindered by their slanderous accusations), and gather those who were driven out (kicked out of their churches for exposing their compromise); I will appoint them for praise and fame in every land (place) where they were put to shame. At that time I will bring you back, even at the time I gather you; for I will give you fame and praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I return your captives before your eyes, says the Lord.” Those who compromise the Word of God today, do it to gain the praise and fame of the world, and in a twist of irony, that is exactly what God is going to give to those who refuse to compromise the Word of God today, in the world that is to come. • DELIVERANCE FROM DISCOURAGEMENT | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Joshua 1:7 “Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; Top of Page DELIVERANCE FROM DISCOURAGEMENT Joshua 1:7 “Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.” Several times the Lord tells Joshua to be strong and very courageous, for this is a critical time in the life of Joshua, and the Lord is ministering to him personally, to keep him from getting discouraged by the circumstances that he is presently facing and those which he will be facing later. We need to remember that discouragement is a spirit, and we do not fight spirits with physical weapons, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, we fight spirits with the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, and that is how we overcome them. Joshua 1:8 “This Book of the Law (the Word of God) shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” God tells Joshua that His Word, which He gave the Israelites through Moses, is an indispensable weapon that he needs to use and maintain continuously in order to overcome the spirit of discouragement. How do you fire this weapon? With your mouth! Watch what you say! We are to meditate in His Word day and night, that is how we keep our spiritual weapons clean and loaded, and we are to fire it every time that we come under attack from the enemy. If the spirit of discouragement has a favorite meal, the spirit of death would be it, for discouragement feeds on dead things like worms do. Joshua 1:2 “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel.” Death always brings change with it, and change is something that we naturally mistrust, for with change comes another opportunity for us to fail, and in our relationship with God, having a new opportunity to fail God again in a different way, is not something that we welcome. God simply tells Joshua with five little words that, Moses My servant is dead, and with that simple, yet very powerful statement, He tells Joshua that it is time to move one and to, Arise, go over this Jordan. God is basically telling Joshua not to be afraid to cross that river that stands between him and God’s promises, and to not let the spirit of discouragement keep him from fulfilling God’s destiny for his life. From Joshua’s experience we can learn that he had plenty of opportunities to be discourage, when God took Moses to the mountain top for forty days, Joshua was kept out in no man’s land, while the children of Israel that stayed back and fell into idol worship. It is very difficult for us humans to deal with the reality of not belonging, for what we are a part of, is what helps us to identify with who we are as a person. Joshua was in a transition period for many years, kept there by God until the day came when he was to step into the new order of things that God had prepared him to fulfill. Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Perhaps the most difficult part for us to understand when we are in the midst of no man’s land, spiritually speaking, is that we are still part of the purpose and will of God, not only for our lives, but even within the will and greater purpose that Jesus has for His church. There are so many things changing right now that it is impossible for me to enumerate them all, but it is this change that is taking place right now, that is discouraging so many Christians today. We are living witnesses of the demise of western civilization. We are witnessing the death of the institution of marriage, and we are witnessing the death of the godly principles that the martyr’s of the Gospel of Jesus Christ died to secure for us. Life has become a choice as well as gender. Many churches have fallen prey to the gospel of conformity, so that the spiritual life of many churches has been drained out, leaving many of the faithful within those churches to ask this question, where has the Spirit gone? Death and change seem to be the only certainty. In order for us not to get discourage we need to keep all that is going on right now within the context of the Word of God. Remember that God promised Abraham four hundred years earlier the land that they were about to enter, and God also told Abraham that the iniquity of the inhabitants of the land had not reached its peak at that time, so that his descendants would have to wait for their inheritance before they could enter and possess the land of promise. Genesis 15:13, 16 “...Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs (Egypt), and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years...But in the fourth generation they shall return here (the land promised to Abraham), for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.” So that God’s timing precedes everything, way before Moses was born, and before Joshua was born, and before whatever circumstance arose that Joshua was facing, God had already set up the time and date for their conquest to begin four hundred years earlier. Had Joshua concentrated on the facts that his circumstances presented him with, he would have had reasons to be discouraged. But God was there to remind him to keep his eyes on the Word of God, for therein lay the promises of a God who cannot lie. 2 Timothy 3:1-4 “ But know this, that in the last days perilous (times of stress) times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.” But know this: Can you hear the certainty with which Paul makes this statement about our present day condition? It helps us to know that whatever it is that is going on right now, God knew what it would be like thousands of years before it came to pass. Let us ask ourselves a few questions in regards as to what is going on today, and let us see if we can answer them within the context of what God said would take place, and what took place during the days of Joshua. Is the world as a whole and society in particular going through a radical change right now for the worst? Yes it is. Did God say that it would happen like this at the end of time? Yes He did. Is there a reason why God is letting the moral fibers of society to become undone? Yes there is. Why is God letting those things that kept us together for centuries all of the sudden become undone? Have we reached the point of conclusion? Our prayer emphasis has been for the unity of the Spirit, the more united that we become in the Spirit in our prayers, the stronger that we are at restraining the power of lawlessness. It is my belief that true Christianity does not slack in prayer in the face of discouraging news, it is the opposite, the more bad news that we hear, the greater our prayer emphasis becomes, for we know that the more that sins abound, the more that the grace of God abounds as well, so that we do not give up in our praying no matter what. I’ve then reached the conclusion that the reason why the power of lawlessness seems to be increasing it is because we are within reach of the point of conclusion, the event horizon, the point of the end. If that is the case, the death of Moses before Joshua lead the children of Israel into the Promised Land, can be likened to the death of our Judeo-Christian values before our Joshua, Jesus, leads us into our Promised Land, the resurrection and rapture of the body of Christ. Isn’t it amazing that from Christianity’s point of view death does not lead into depression but into salvation? For us Christians, natural death is welcome for as stated within His promises, Absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, so that as we are witnessing the death of everything that is near and dear to us, be it civil or moral, religious or traditional, the things that are dying, be it good or bad, can only mean one thing for us Christians, our blessed hope is nearer than we think. Here is the last will and testament of Moses, the servant of God, before He died and blessed the children of Israel with these promises. Deuteronomy 33:26-29 “There in no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides the heavens to help you, and in His excellency on the clouds. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, ‘Destroy!’ Then Israel shall dwell in safety, the fountain of Jacob alone, in a land of grain and new wine; His heavens shall also drop dew. Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, the shield of your help and the sword of your majesty! Your enemies shall summit to you, and you shall tread down their high places.” Here are some promises that will keep us from getting discouraged no matter what changes we are going through right now. Who rides the heavens to help you. We can count on His spiritual help; just this week I saw on the news how Christians are being killed and persecuted in the Middle East, and how their places of worship and homes are being burned, I saw this Christian priest forced face down to the ground before he was beheaded, and I thought to myself, what a great honor this man was given, it humbled me to the core, how God allows some of His servants to die a martyr’s death, I could just hear the cheers from heaven as he was welcome into the joy of our Lord and given a place of honor among those who have died for the faith, like apostles and prophets of old. It touched me because every night my wife and I pray for those who are being persecuted for the sake of the Gospel, and in my prayer I always pray that God would give His strength to those whom He has called to give their life as an offering to God, seeing this man, not resisting but peaceful, encouraged me to know that God always answers our prayers. The eternal God is your refuge. In the natural, those killed and those persecuted and tortured for the sake of the Gospel, might be viewed by unspiritual people as unfortunate or disadvantaged, but what does the Word of God say? Hebrews 13:6 “So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’” Our time here on this earth is temporary, our refuge in God is eternal! Happy are you, O Israel. Happy people are people who are not discouraged. For their happiness is based on the eternal promises of God that do not change with the circumstances. The shield of your help and the sword of your majesty! Remember how God told Joshua that, This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, well, the shield of our help is the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the breastplate of righteousness which cover and protect our vital parts, but we have also been given a majestic sword, and this is an offensive weapon, which we can use to execute against our spiritual enemies the will of God, to tread down and subdue the strongholds of the enemy, with the words that proceed out of our mouths, as we enforce the Word of God over our enemies. Psalm 149:6-9 “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute on them the written judgment—this honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord!” Once we understand that if we are in the will of God, whether we are called to martyrdom, suffering, or to triumph over our enemies, it does not matter what the circumstances are, as long as we believe that we are within the will of God for our lives, no discouragement can afflict us. Nations may fall, they may rise, or nothing may end up taking place after all, it does not really matter, as long as we know that our God is in total and complete control of whatever situation we might be facing, we have peace and the assurance of His promises for us who believe. Joshua 1:5 “No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.” Go into God’s spiritual bank today, and in the name of Jesus deposit some of these promises, for they will suffice to cover for whatever debt or lack you may have that is causing you to be discouraged. Just remember that whatever situation you are facing today will pass, but the promises of God, they endure forever. • FALSE TEACHERS WILL BE JUDGED | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) shows the Word of God reveals to us how the enemy takes advantage of our human natural desires, and then turn what initially were well meaning teachers of the Word of God into carriers of destructive heresies. FALSE TEACHERS WILL BE JUDGED 2 Peter 2:1 “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.” When the Holy Spirit revealed the above verse to Peter, it was probably not very difficult for Peter to understand the meaning of it, for it simply reveals human nature at work when placed in a position of authority. But there is also a deeper meaning to the above verse that reveals to us how the enemy takes advantage of our human natural desires, and then turn what initially were well meaning teachers of the Word of God into carriers of destructive heresies. The first part of the revelation is that of the pattern, there were false prophets in the past so there will be false teachers in the present. The second part of the revelation is, that the introduction of the destructive heresies will take place in secret or unbeknown to them. The third part of the revelation reveals how the devil takes advantage of the misleading doctrines to turn them into the antichrist’s doctrine, which is to deny that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. And the final and fourth revelation is the judgment that the Holy Spirit brings upon those who peddle heresies. The end result for them is swift destruction, and this is not necessarily what we think of when we picture what their destruction would eventually be like. For us humans the word death always implies a cessation of labor, for after all, when a person becomes deceased they no longer exist in our present realm, so that for the living they are no longer a personal issue. But for the spirits that do not die, death is not an issue, so that when the Bible refers to unclean spirits and their demonic doctrines being judged, the word used for them is the word destruction, for when their laborious works are destroyed, their works are no longer an issue, even though the demons behind such doctrines might still be around. This is why the demons would say to Jesus, Have You come to destroy us before our time? When they referred to Jesus destroying them, it was their works that they were referring to, for that was what Jesus was destroying. For they knew that their final personal destruction, that is when they are imprisoned forever, would not take place until the final day of God’s judgment takes place. 1 John 3:8 “He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” The first appearance of Jesus was to destroy the works of the devil, and His second advent will be to destroy the devil with all of his cohorts. The swift destruction of the false teachers has more to do with the anointing being removed from their ministries that started teaching under God’s anointing. Due to their selfish ambitions getting involved within their ministries, they allowed into their ministries false teachings that brought about the swift destruction of what little anointing they had. 2 Peter 2:2 “And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.” If their swift destruction implies the removal of their anointing, then they will continue on with their ministries, but instead of them proclaiming the truth of God’s Word, their ministry will become one of opposing the truth and the propagation of the devil’s lies. Now, why would well-meaning ministers turn away from the truth of the Word of God and turn their ministries into peddling the devil’s lies by blaspheming the truth of the Word of God? 2 Peter 2:3 “By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.” The Holy Spirit reveals to Peter that even though these false teachers have been around a long time, it does not mean that they have not been speedily judged, for as Peter wrote, Their destruction does not slumber! Covetousness has to do with self-gain that often leads to the exploitation of others through the mischaracterization of God’s Word. Which leads us into what prompted Peter to start the second chapter of his second epistle. Let’s take a good look at the verse that preceded our opening Scripture. 2 Peter 1:21 “For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” If I know that the Word of God did not come about by the will of men, and I do, then how could I ever miss use it or abuse it for self-gain? The meat of what I am trying to say is this; a minister that starts ministry with an honest heart and then, for some reason, turns away from the truth for self-gain, does not have a proper understanding of the veracity of the Word of God to begin with. For if they did, it does not make any sense why they would risk judgment. When we are not sure that there are consequences to wrong actions, it makes it easier to fall into the sin of misjudgment. And that is the primary reason why the Lord removes the anointing from the ministry, to let their leaders know that they are abusing or misusing His Word, in the hope that they will come to their senses and repent by turning their ministries back to the foundation of God’s Truth. Unfortunately, many ministries get themselves into debt, by trying to appeal to the masses by worldly means, and by the time that they realize that their problem is that the anointing has left them, it feels like it’s too late for them. For if they give up their misleading ways, that will mean the loss of all that they have worked so hard for, and that is a choice that many are not willing to make, so that their ministries becomes more like a carcass, or what could be called, the night of the living dead. Revelation 3:1 “...I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.” So how do we keep ourselves from getting snared by ministries that have the endorsement of the world, that they are alive, when in reality every anointed believer knows within their heart that they are dead? 2 Peter 2:9 “Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment.” Peter, from verse four to verse eight, lists a litany of past judgments that the Lord brought upon those who chose to rebel against His Word; he mentions the angels that sinned and God judged, the ancient world that before the flood rejected His Word and was utterly destroyed, the destruction of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, and how righteous Lot was delivered from the destruction, then Peter adds, Then the Lord knows how to deliver the righteous out of temptation. Without faith it is impossible to please God. We need to believe that there are consequences for those who pervert and compromise the Word of Truth, and if we truly believe that, then we will not be partakers of their self-willed ministries, even if we have to endure their rejection for us and not be willing to fit in with them. For if we are accepted by the Lord, and we know it, then we do not need their acceptance. 2 Peter 2:15 “They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness.” There are many perks offered to those who support ministries that deviated from the truth of the Word of God, from status within the community of believers, to real benefits that profit those who are in the ministry for personal profit. In the first chapter of his second epistle, Peter also offers a litany of the good things that we are commanded to do, like walking in virtue and self-control, as we follow the great and precious promises that our Lord has given to us, for us to follow, as we walk in His godliness, and then Peter reminds us of the real benefits of following the Truth of His Word. 2 Peter 1:10-11 “Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call an election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • PROFANING THE COVENANT | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on what the consequences are of turning our backs on God and the godly traditions that were handed down to us by the fathers. Top of Page PROFANING THE COVENANT Malachi 2:10 “Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously with one another by profaning the covenant of the fathers?” In this lesson we are going to explore what the consequences are of turning our backs on God and the godly traditions that were handed down to us by the fathers. In our opening text we see an immediate progression of what happens when we reject God’s covenant. God is a God of covenant, He is in covenant with all the creation, both animate and inanimate, everything functions because of His covenant that He keeps with His creation. Inanimate objects just follow the laws of nature to which they are subject to. Animate creatures like animals just follow the laws that they are subject to by their natural instincts. However, we human creatures were created in the image of God with the ability to reason out intelligently the very laws (covenant) to which we are subject to, and thereby, we have the ability to understand the benefits and the consequences that our obedience or disobedience to those laws will bring upon us. Hosea 6:7 “But like men (literally, Adam) they transgressed the covenant; there they dealt treacherously with Me.” The first violation of God’s covenant was committed by Adam the first man, and the nature of the violation had to do with him believing the words of Satan, who told him that he was naked and therefore he was no good to God, over the words of God, who had told Adam that he was good even though he was naked: Genesis 1:31 “Then God saw everything that He had made (including Adam and Eve who were both naked), and indeed was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” Genesis 2:25 “And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed (until Satan told them that they were both naked).” So that in their nature, all covenant violations have as their roots rebellion against the Word of God! We see that in our opening text, where the prophet has to ask out loud: Have we not all one Father? Rejection of His Word is in essence a rejection of His Fatherhood over us, which in turn leads men to deny that they were created by Him in the first place, that is why the prophet asks secondly: Has not one God created us? And of course, if we reject God’s Word as stated in His covenant that governs the interactions of men (love thy neighbor), then we end up with the: Why do we deal treacherously with one another. Hello! Because we are profaning God’s covenant with the fathers, that is why we are in the mess we are in. The teaching of evolution is in essence a cover for those who do not want to be under the rules of God’s covenant with the fathers. In order to deny the existence of God as our Father and Creator they needed to replace God’s Word with a myth, in order to dupe the less informed into thinking that they are not really in rebellion to the governing covenant of God’s law when they deny their Creator. That ruse worked only for a little while by having so called scientists teach that such a myth was scientifically possible, until DNA proved them all wrong, but that hasn’t stopped them, proving to all that it was never truth that they were after, it was unadulterated rebellion against God and His covenant all along that drove them. Malachi 2:11 “Judah has dealt treacherously, and an abomination has been committed in Israel and in Jerusalem, for Judah has profaned the Lord’s holy institution which He loves: he has married the daughter of a foreign god.” The prophet Malachi is dealing with two separate issues that have relevance to one another, he is first dealing with a spiritual issue, and secondly, with a physical one. The spiritual issue is their idolatry, and the physical issue is their violation of the institution of marriage. Violation of God’s covenant which is spiritual adultery in nature, is always followed by the violation of God’s laws that govern the physical interactions of mankind. We see that in our culture today, first comes the rejection of God as our Father and Creator, which is then followed by the rejection of the Lord’s holy institutions, such as that of marriage being between a man and a woman. The profaning of God’s covenant always follows a natural and predictable progression that is fraught with evil consequences. But wait it gets worse! Malachi 2:12 “May the Lord cut off from the tents of Jacob the man who does this, being awake and aware, yet who brings an offering to the Lord of Hosts!” The evolution of their rebellion is now very clear. There is now proof available to the nations of the world, scientific proof, that God is not only our Father and Creator, but that He is coming back soon to establish His kingdom here on earth, and yet their rebellion is breathtaking, to the point that they think that God will have to accept their redefinition of God’s holy institutions which they have perverted. Malachi 2:17 “You have wearied the Lord with your words; yet you say, ‘In what way have we wearied Him?’ In that you say, ‘Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and He delights in them,’ or ‘Where is the God of justice?’” Once their cover was blown and were finally out of excuses about God’s true existence, they resorted to redefining the terms of God’s covenant by saying: Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord, after all, they say, God is love, and then they comfort themselves by saying: Where is the God of justice? In other words, we have been getting away with it all these many years, why judge us now? Malachi 4:1 “For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, that will leave them neither root nor branch.” God’s wheels of justice may seem to move slowly to the wicked, but when they finally come there will be no compromise, for the Lord’s covenant is unbreakable, immutable, and unchangeable. The only protection afforded to us is to stay connected to the roots of the covenant which God handed down to us through the fathers, by keeping the godly traditions and acknowledging Him who created us and who sustains us. Malachi 4:2-3 “But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this, says the Lord.” It pays to stay faithful to the covenant, for after all, our God is a merciful God who loves us, but if we disown Him, He will disown us and have no choice other than to reject those who reject Him. Malachi 4:6 “And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” Let us strive to make sure that our hearts are towards the godly traditions that the fathers have handed down to us, let us remain faithful to them, do not fall for the persuading lies of the devil that prompt you to break away from tradition, for if you do, your feet are not swift enough to deliver you from the strike of the curse upon the earth that follows such treacherous rebellion. • THE DISPENSATION OF THE FULLNESS OF THE | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Ephesians 1:10 “That in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and ... Top of Page THE DISPENSATION OF THE FULLNESS OF THE TIMES Ephesians 1:10 “That in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.” What is the dispensation of the fullness of the times? Through the centuries theologians have discovered that God deals with humanity through differing epochs of time called dispensations. Each dispensation of time differs from another by the rules under which God deals with humanity in each unique dispensation of time. Theologians also figure out that there are seven such dispensations revealed in Scripture, with the last dispensation being the dispensation of rest, also known as the Kingdom Age, when Jesus will rule and reign over the entire world and all of its inhabitants for one thousand years. There were only two people under the jurisdiction of the first dispensation, Adam and Eve, and their time in the Garden is called the dispensation of innocence, and it was the first dispensation, and there was only one rule that applied to them while in Paradise: Genesis 2:16-17 “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, ‘Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.’” After Adam and Eve sinned by disobeying God’s command not to eat of the fruit that would cause them to become self-aware, they were driven out of the Garden Paradise and into a different place and dispensation. Although we are not told how long Adam and Eve were in the Garden before they sinned, we know that the next dispensation that they were put under lasted 1,656 years, and ended with Noah’s flood. This new dispensation was called the dispensation of conscience because Adam and Eve and their descendants became very much aware of their nakedness that they inherited through Adam and Eve’s disobedience. Genesis 6:5 “Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Once man became self-aware of his sinful nature and realized the hopelessness of his situation, eventually he gave himself to think of only evil continually, and became in their consciences worthless to God, who then had no choice but to swiftly destroy them. In both judgments, the dispensation of innocence and the dispensation of conscience, the judgment of God was final. What that means is that we can never come to God again in innocence or in conscience, in innocence because all the descendants of Adam and Eve are conceived and born in the consequences of their sin which is death, we are born mortals. And in conscience because our carnal minds are enmity to the Word of God. Romans 8:7 “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.” So that through Adam and Eve we’ve not only inherited corrupt bodies that lost their innocence, but we also inherited a corrupted mind that can never be brought under the jurisdiction of the Word of God. 1 Corinthians 2:16 “...But we have the mind of Christ.” Just in case some of you were wondering about our present estate of mind. Our sinfulness is blotted out by the blood of Jesus and our old mind set is replaced by the mind of Christ which is given to us at the time when we become born again. Romans 8:6 “For to be carnally minded is death (because of Adam and Eve’s disobedience to the Word of God), but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (because the words of Jesus are Spirit and they are life).” Now our next dispensation was not judged completely when they rebelled against God, for its final day of judgment has been reserved for the day of the dispensation of the fullness of the times, which is where this lesson is headed, but first let me enumerate the rest of the dispensations so that we can put them all into the proper context. Genesis 11:8-9 “So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. Therefore its name is called Babel (means confusion), because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.” After the flood of Noah’s day, all the waters that were in and around the poles of the earth froze immediately, leaving the water levels of the oceans a lot lower than they are today, and causing a land bridge between the continents. It was God’s plan for humans after the flood to migrate to all the continents and fill the earth before the majority of the ice melted, which that happened during the days of Peleg when the land bridges that connected the continents were divided, buy submersion or by the melting away of the ice that connected some of the land masses. But mankind had other plans, they wanted to make a name for themselves, so they congregated together in rebellion against God’s command, and decided to build a tower that reached to the heavens, but God just simply confused their languages so that they could not communicate with one another, and so they scattered through the continents as was God’s original purpose, but God did not fully judge them at that time. Their dispensation was called human government, or what the book of Revelation calls, the kingdoms of this world, and they are very much still around today, for their dispensation has not yet been brought to a close. Today the European Union headquarters is a building that looks like an unfinished tower of Babel, for after all it will be the revived Roman empire whom prophecy foretells will give all its power to the antichrist to face Jesus during the final battle of Armageddon. Since mankind could not save themselves in innocence, or through their own consciences, or even when the power of human government did not bring about obedience to the commandments of God, that was when God decided to introduce His Promise. When the dispensation of promise is completed it will be known as the dispensation of the fullness of the times, for its at that time that God will bring to a close all the yet to be finally judged dispensations. Genesis 12:7 “Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, ‘To your descendants I will give this land.’ And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.” When God entered into a covenant with Abraham it was a two-fold covenant, a covenant that spans two dispensations. For out of that covenant comes the nation of Israel and their deliverer, Moses, through whom the dispensation of law was given. And the promise of salvation for the Gentile nations was given through the dispensation of grace by the Lord Himself in His Gospel. John 1:17 “For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 3:1-2 “For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles—if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you.” So here is a list of the seven dispensations: The dispensation of innocence. The dispensation of conscience. The dispensation of human government. The dispensation of promise. The dispensation of law. The dispensation of grace. That in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ. And after all the above dispensations are finally completed, then all the believers that come out of every dispensation will be resurrected each in their time and ushered into the final dispensation of God’s rest, to rule and reign with Christ for one thousand years. The seventh is the dispensation of rest, or what will probably be called at that time the Kingdom Age. Now why are all these unfinished dispensations relevant to us today? Scripture teaches us that before God brings something or someone into the judgment, he restores them into the condition that they were in when they first rebelled, so that we know for a fact that the dispensation of the fullness of the times judgment cannot begin until all the yet to be judged dispensations appear together at the same time in history, since we also know that God is going to judge them all in the same period of time. The judgment and restoration of Peter gives us an example of how God will bring about the judgment of the dispensations. Peter got saved after he witnessed the miracle of the catch of fish in his net, which he lowered into the sea at the command Jesus, even after fishing all night and catching nothing. Peter rejected Jesus while hanging around a fire just trying to keep warm the night that Jesus was arreste. He was confronted by a girl who accused him of being one of Jesus’ disciples. John chapter 21 tells us that Jesus appeared to Peter again after he was fishing all night and did not catch anything, Jesus tells him to cast the net on the right side of the boat and a miracle happens again, the net is full of fish. Then when Peter drags the net to shore he finds that Jesus had kindled a fire of coals with fish and bread on it. So that all of the elements are in place to bring Peter back in his soul to the places of where he experienced his salvation and to the place where his rejection took place as well, then Jesus asks Peter a very simple question, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these? Peter was not only judged there, but he was restored there as well. We witnessed in the twentieth century something that had never happened before in the history of mankind, the dispensations of human government, law and grace all came together for the first time in the same form in which they were after God had dispersed them. The Jews who were driven from the Holy Land after as a nation they rejected Jesus as their Messiah, were once again restored as a nation back to the land where they were driven from 1,900 years ago, while still rejecting Jesus as their Messiah as a nation, so that the dispensation of law which came through the nation of Israel and it must be judged in the nation of Israel was set in place awaiting their final judgment. The kingdoms of this world who have been scattered since the days when Nimrod was cut to pieces for his rebellion against God over 4,000 year ago, came together once again as one group in the middle of the twentieth century as the United Nations, where all their many languages can be translated instantly and a speaker can be understood by all the different nations no matter what language he speaks. It was also in the middle of the twentieth century that the apostolic revival began to take roots within the church once again. So that the three dispensations whose judgment it is yet to be finalized are presently in their prophetic places, Israel, the church, and the United Nations, all awaiting for the fulfillment of God’s promised conclusion to be meted out to them at their appointed time. Matthew 25:31-34 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.’” I believe that the last piece that has to fall into place before the final judgment begins is the United States government. Our constitution has been a great hurdle that those who longed for the revived Roman empire and the new world order have not been able to overcome until now. After years of brainwashing the American populace, through all kinds of mediums, into having an open disregard for the constitution and the values that it fosters, this is the closest that they have come to succeeding, for our present day government is in total disregard for constitutional law and it is not being held accountable for it. If America does not recover from this evil that has befallen it, and I do not see any of our leaders calling for a nation wide repentance, then our time here on this earth is pretty much over I believe. Let us continue to pray for His preservation for those of us who believe. More Teachings Found Here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • THE AWAKENING | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on 1 Corinthians 1:19 “For it is written: ‘I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.’” Top of Page THE AWAKENING 1 Corinthians 1:19 “For it is written: ‘I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.’” The twentieth century witnessed the unleashing of man’s ingenuity in such a remarkable way that life as it existed for thousands of years was radically changed forever. I could say, and not be too far off, that in the twentieth century, we, speaking of the human race, became of age. I have neither the desire nor the abilities to enumerate all the history, discoveries, and events that came together to make the twentieth century such a pivotal time in human history; from the industrial revolution to two world wars, to the splitting of the atom, and the space race that lead us into the technological age of cyber space, but I know that in all of this, God’s final plan for the human race was being intelligently crafted by divinity in accordance with what the prophets of old had foretold. Daniel 12:4 “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” Nothing happens on the earth unless it is first released from heaven. It does not matter how wise and learned men of old were, or how dedicated to their crafts, or how many resources they had available to them, if it was sealed in heaven, all of their human endeavors did not suffice. After Jesus rose from the dead and was taken up to heaven, He took possession of a scroll that contained written things within and on the back, that had been sealed with seven seals. Revelation 5:3 “And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.” It seems that only an immortal human of divine origin, one who could save and make other humans immortal like Himself, was qualified to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals, since its unveiling unleashes upon the human race the symphony of events that eventually propels God’s final judgments upon all human mortals. The first seal was loosed right after Jesus took possession of the scroll after arriving in heaven, it released the spirit of antichrist upon the world stage. The antichrist himself will not be revealed until that which hinders him from being revealed is removed. 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work (the spirit of antichrist has already been released); only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one (the antichrist in person) will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” The second seal was loosed from heaven during the twentieth century and that is what brought about the second world war and the technological breakthroughs that ensued. Revelation 6:3-4 “When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, ‘Come and see.’ Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth (world war II), and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword (technology).” You can probably trace the origin of many, if not most, of the technological advancements of today to the events leading to and surrounding the second world war, for that is when the unveiling of the second seal took place, according to the divine plan. If we tie the first two seals together, we get the antichrist type leading the world into a colossal war that increases human knowledge to levels not even dreamed of by the preceding generation. Revelation 6:5-6 “When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, ‘Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, ‘A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.’” The results of the first two seals opened the door for a new world order, something that has been the unreachable dream of the elite world luminaries for centuries, but with this open door their dreams of a revived roman empire that rules the world has become a very possible reality. In order to facilitate a one world government, they need to have a one world economy, and to achieve that they need to implement a one world financial system that regulates the world economy; according to the golden rule, he who has the gold, makes the rules. Revelation 13:17 “And that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” We are in the midst of the unveiling of the third seal right now, it is taking place before our very eyes. All the pieces are falling rapidly into place awaiting the unveiling of the fourth seal that will feature a war over one fourth of the earth, the invasion of Israel by a northern confederacy. Israel is the last obstacle that stands between them, those who think they own the earth, and their dreams of declaring earth’s independence from the rule of God. It is all spiritual, since Satan was thrown out of heaven he has been looking for a place to call home; the earth belongs to the Lord, but man has been given dominion over it, the devil has duped, through the spirit of pride, those who think they can run the earth better than God, through the agency of human intelligence, for they truly think that they know better than God how to run the earth. 1 Corinthians 1:30 “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.” All the spirits know that if you are going to rule the world you have to do it through the agency of a human man, that is why the Word of God had to become flesh, in order to infuse into humanity’s mind the wisdom that comes from God, the wisdom that redeems, sets apart for God, and makes right with God those who choose allegiance with God. Revelation 13:2 “...The dragon gave him (a human being, the antichrist) his power, his throne, and great authority.” The spiritual battle that rages now in the heavens will be fought here on the earth by the human Son of God who is indwelled by the Spirit of the living God against the spirit of Satan, the dragon, that will one day be revealed in the human antichrist. It will be a one sided battle: Whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. This is the truth that brings the awakening, and it is what the first chapter of first Corinthians is all about, whose wisdom are you going to trust? 1 Corinthians 1:20 “Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?” How did God make foolishness out of the wisdom of this world? He told them ahead of time what was going to happen, when it was going to happen, and how it was going to happen. Nothing happened without His hand allowing it to happen first. These empty headed illustrators really think that they’ve actually thought of all these things and that they have created by the power of their own intellectual prowler. 1 Corinthians 1:21 “For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.” Imagine the simplicity of the message that was preached confounded the wisdom of the wise and brings to us an awakening to the revelation of what God is doing in our present time. 1 Corinthians 1:25-26 “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.” And here is the reason why God does it this way. 1 Corinthians 1:29 “That no flesh should glory in His presence.” I believe that we are now ready to experience the great spiritual awakening that the prophets of old predicted for the last days. Humanity has been sold a bill of goods that predicted that man’s salvation was going to come as the result of technological advances. Knowledge is power, in God’s case, knowledge of Him and of His Word brings liberty to those who live and practice His Word. Knowledge of the populace in the hands of the world gives the world the power to enslave the masses. Everything about us today is known to the government, and that knowledge has been used already to deprive many Americans of their constitutional rights. But the majority of that knowledge awaits for the restraining power to be removed, as prophesied by Paul, so that it can be used to coerce, intimidate, and blackmail law abiding citizens into conformance with their new world order. If you did not believe in the past that what had been foretold by the Word of God was possible, do you believe it now? Are you awake yet? Better hurry, there is not much time left.
