- THE PROVEN WORD | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) asks can you imagine being protected by a shield that has been proven to always been perfect? That means it will never fail you no matter what. Top of Page THE PROVEN WORD Psalm 18:30 “As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.” There is a saying that in life nothing is certain but death and taxes. Whoever came up with that saying did not read our opening text. Can you imagine being protected by a shield that has been proven to always been perfect? That means it will never fail you no matter what. Let us begin with the most important of all the things that we have: life and by implication our fear of death. Psalm 18:4 “The pangs of death surrounded me, and the floods of ungodliness made me afraid.” Can we trust our lives to the Word of God? Can the Word of God deliver me from fear and angst? Every person that is born will die someday, for according to God’s Word it is appointed for men to die once, and to be judged after we die. So that we are all continuously surrounded by the pangs of death and the fear of judgment. We are conceived and born in sin, so that our natural fear of death resides in the reality that we all fall short of the glory of God. Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.” How does the Word of God assure me of a pleasant and eternal life after I am dead? Romans 8:11 “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” How can I be sure that He will forgive me since I know that I still fall short of His glory even after He became my Savior? Romans 8:10 “And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.” The floods of ungodliness made me afraid, the word ungodliness in the original Hebrew text is the word Belial and it means a spirit of worthlessness. When we got saved, the spirit of Belial was replaced by the Spirit of God’s life and righteousness. Seeing that Jesus paid such a high price for us—His precious blood—we are not worthless anymore. Hallelujah! Ephesians 2:1-2 “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit (of worthlessness, Belial) who now works in the sons of disobedience.” There is ample evidence then, that Jesus has redeemed us from the pangs of death, and from the floods of ungodliness that once made us afraid; as it is written: They that call upon the name of the Lord will be saved, redeemed, healed, delivered and restored! Psalm 18:3 “I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.” The word of the Lord is proven. From the very beginning God gave us His Word of promise, the word proven means to be refined. We know that the Bible was written over a period of fifteen or sixteen centuries, and that some of the original promises were given to mankind thousands of years ago. In the Garden of Eden God promised that the Seed of the woman would crush the serpents head. God chose Able instead of Cain, after Cain killed Able, God replaced him with Seth, which means appointed, and God continued the promise through the line of Seth to Noah. From Noah’s three sons, Shem was chosen to be the line from which the Word of the Lord would continue, that is why there is so much anti-Semitism today, for the Jewish people and the nation of Israel from which came the Scriptures, are the descendants of Shem. The world hates God’s Word and that is why they hate the Semites. From the line of Shem, Abram was chosen, and God entered into a covenant with him and named him Abraham, although Abraham fathered multiple children, Isaac was chosen to continue the line. Isaac had two sons, Jacob and Esau, but God continued to refine the line and chose Jacob, who had twelve sons; God chose Judah one of his twelve sons, and said that His Promised One would be called the Lion of the tribe of Judah. About four thousand years passed from the Garden of Eden, where the promised was first given, to Gethsemane, where the King of Life chose to become the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. Mortal men had no say as to how such refining would take place, even the wisest of the wise could not understand, or even presume to know, how our Lord would bring about the fulfillment of all His great and precious promises, but He did, praise God He did! 2 Peter 1:17-19 “For He (Jesus) received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: ‘This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.’ And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.” The odds of one man fulfilling by chance all the promises that God made concerning His Anointed One’s first coming are astronomical, an impossibility to be certain, that is what Peter as an eyewitness is telling us, and he says, you better pay attention to it if you want truth. There is no doubt whatsoever that the Word of God has been proven, it has been extremely refined and points us to a very precise person, and that person is Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, who is our perfect shield and our total enlightenment. Psalm 18:35 “You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great.” Psalm 18:28 “For You will light my lamp; the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.” Why in the world would someone put their trust in the manmade philosophies of this world which are proven wrong on a daily basis? Every major prediction that science has made, since they started to make them, are wrong. They do not come true and instead the opposite takes place. Man is always proven wrong; that’s a fact of life. Psalm 18:31 “For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? For years, since I started to teach from the Word of God, I began to notice how precise God’s predictions are. No matter how impossible a prophesy or a promise may seem at that time, if God said it would be thus, all you have to do is hang around a while and you will see thus. And what that has done for my life and my faith in the Word of God is amazing. It has transformed my life and the way that I perceive things. And even that, is what the Word of God promises to those of us who by faith are willing to believe in the certainty of His amazing promises. Psalm 18:32 “It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect.” In our present state of mortality, our perfection is not revealed in us as a physical reality yet, but rather, as a spiritual certainty that cannot be altered, For He who promised is faithful and will cause it to be so. I am what I am, not because of who or what I am, but because of who and what He says I am as long as I remain planted in His Word. Psalm 18:33 “He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places.” In our last lesson I wrote about the choice that we all have. We can make choices based on the circumstances that surround us, or we can affirm the path that God has ordained for us in the high places, which is speaking about our spiritual journey while on this earth. Psalm 18:43 “You have delivered me from the strivings of the people; you have made me the head…” If you can make this verse personal is an indication that you are walking under the blessings of God to Abraham and His seed, and not under the curses of this world. Deuteronomy 28:13 “And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only (spiritual path, high places), and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments (and are willing to believe the promises) of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.” What an exciting reality it is to live in all the promises of God to us. And they all hinge in this simple act of faith on our part, He who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved! Psalm 18:3 “I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.” If you have not yet made the choice to call upon the Lord, why not make it now? He is the God who never lies, and He is the only God who can deliver you out of the hands of all your enemies. Is death your enemy? The words of Jesus are Spirit and they are life! Would you make His Word your life today? If you do give Him praise. Psalm 18:46 “The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of my salvation be exalted.” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings
- THE GREAT HARLOT | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Revelation 19:2 “For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; Top of Page THE GREAT HARLOT Revelation 19:2 “For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.” The book of Revelation follows a two-fold path; it brings forth separately, the spiritual perspective and the physical perspective of the matter that is being presented. For example, in chapters one through three of Revelation, we are given the physical perspective of the church age, while chapters four through six, gives us the spiritual perspective of the same church age. In chapter seven we see the conjunction of the spiritual and physical presentation of the church age, as God brings down its final conclusion with the rapture of the church and the resurrection of the dead. Revelation 6:14 “Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up (the wall of separation between the spiritual and the physical realms is removed as we enter into chapter seven) …” Then we see the spiritual revelation of the ministry of the Two Witnesses in chapters eight and nine. And in chapters ten and eleven we see the days of their ministry through the physical perspective, so on and so forth: For the complete sequence read my book Man’s Final Destiny on the books section of houseoffaithministries.org web-page. The reason why I shared this is because there is a parenthesis that interrupts this pattern. It is found in chapters seventeen and eighteen, where God deals specifically with this entity whom He calls the great harlot, who corrupts the earth with her fornication. Revelation 17:5 “And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” Who is this entity and what is her function that God devotes two entire chapters in His dealings with her? Number one, she is a mystery. Something that has to be revealed or exposed in order to be understood. Number two, she is a spiritual power to be reckoned with: Babylon the great is symbolic of a powerful, all encompassing, mystery religion. Number three, she is the originator or mother of all the false doctrines, and of all the abominable things that corrupt the entire earth. What is the connection between this great harlot and the devil? Revelation 17:3 “So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.” The beast that this woman is riding on, is the devil himself. In this case John sees the great harlot riding the antichrist, whom the devil has fully possessed at this point in time. Revelation 17:8 “The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition…” The antichrist is the beast that rises out of the bottomless pit. His name is Abiram—which means exalted father—since according to Daniel he will exalt and magnify himself above every demonic entity called gods. Daniel 11:36 “Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god (demon/unclean spirit).” Let me take a minute to explain what is going on here. In chapters seventeen and eighteen, we see the culmination of this unholy and demonic allegiance between the devil and the harlot. The devil has never been popular with a majority of the people of the earth, at any given point in time. In order to be accepted by the populace, he cloaks himself with religious appeal, and through deceptive doctrines and corrupts the entire earth with his abominable teachings. In order to achieve that, he needed an army of demonic entities to assist him. These demons are called saints in order to appeal to the masses. For thousands of years people have worshiped the devil—the majority of them unaware—through religious rituals aimed to deceive those who practice them, into thinking that they were worshipping the real God. Thereby causing them to commit spiritual adultery through their idol worship, which is an abomination to God. Revelation 17:15 “Then he said to me, ‘The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.’” Religion and politics go together hand in glove, if the leaders of a nation can control and manipulate what their people believe, they can also control how their citizens behave! So as you can see the devil is heavily invested in the business of religion, for he is in the business of trying to control how people behave. The only problem with that is, that the devil has always hated having to share with his demonic cohorts the adulation that he feels should be only his, but without them he could not have deceived the world into worshipping him. After the devil possesses the antichrist, once he arrives here on physical earth—after being with him in the pit since the days of Moses—the devil does not need his old demonic hordes any longer, so he refuses to share with them the glory and adulation which he believes are his alone. He now, like Jesus, has a physical and eternal human body which he can present to the people. Unlike Jesus, he will force everybody to bow down to him and to worship his image, if not, he will have them beheaded, since he now presides over the governing authorities which have ruled over all the inhabitants of the world. Revelation 17:12-13 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.” The beast that you saw was, is a reference to the antichrist before he was taken down to the pit alive during Korah’s rebellion against Moses. Numbers 16:30 “But if the Lord creates a new thing, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the pit, then you will understand that these men (Dathan and Abiram) have rejected the Lord (have entered into their final judgment).” The ground opened up and swallowed all of them alive, and they all perished, they all died—except for the two men who insulted the Lord by not presenting themselves before the Lord’s Presence as Moses had required of them, that was the new thing that the Lord created that day. Numbers 16:25-26 “Then Moses rose and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him. And he spoke to the congregation, saying, ‘Depart now from the tents of these wicked men (Dathan and Abiram)! Touch nothing of theirs, lest you be consumed in all their sins.’” The reason that we can know with certainty that Dathan and Abiram are the false prophet and the antichrist, and that they are raised and released physically from the bottomless pit, is because when Jesus defeats them at His return, they are not killed—since they have already died and have been judged by God, so when they are captured, they are immediately thrown alive into the Lake of Fire which is the second and final death. Revelation 19:20-21 “Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse…” The only way that we can answer the question as to why the false prophet and the antichrist were not killed by the sword as the others were, is because they were already dead and judged by God, and in possession of their eternal physical bodies. Which by the way, is the selling point that the antichrist uses to deceive the many who will follow him, the fact that he cannot not be killed even after receiving a fatal blow to the head. Revelation 13:12 “And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.” The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And is not, makes it very clear that the antichrist in not in the world right now, for he will not ascend from the bottomless pit until after the rapture takes place, when the sky recedes like a scroll and the Two Witnesses come back to the earth to finish their ministry. Until then, the great harlot will continue to do the devil’s bidding on this earth. It is imperative for us to know who the real enemy is, and that he is behind every evil thing. Do not think that what may seem to us like harmless or old traditions as something that cannot hurt us. Proverbs 7:26-27 “For she (the great harlot) has cast down many wounded, and all who were slain by her were strong men. Her house is the way to hell, descending to the chambers of death.” Revelation 17:6 “I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus…” The sin of idolatry which is harlotry, is nothing to play with, or to take lightly. Those who refuse to renounce her ways and the traditions by which she ensnares so many, will find their spiritual vision becoming blurry, and their spiritual ears becoming dull. Let the truth of the Word of God enlighten your soul today and refuse to let the world mold you into its image. Learn of Him who is the truth and He will make you free. House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) shows that in unity we find the demonstration of the power of the Grace of Jesus in conjunction with the acceptance of the Love of God, all rolled into one in the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Top of Page Top of Page PSALM 133: THE POWER OF UNITY Written by Pastor Marcos Marrero Published on 9/23/2023 Psalm 133:1 “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” In unity we find the demonstration of the power of the Grace of Jesus in conjunction with the acceptance of the Love of God, all rolled into one in the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 13:14 “The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Love of God, and the Communion (fellowship) of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.” The grace of Jesus and the love of God flourish when we share them through communion or fellowship with one another. As my spiritual father, the Rev. Herb Ezell used to say: “Christian fellowship is just as important as Christian worship”. He understood that to love one another and to share with one another is in esse nce an act of Christian worship. God compares the act of brethren dwelling together in unity with the pouring of precious oil upon the head, and having that oil running down to the beard, even down to the edge of His High Priest’s garments. Psalm 133:2 “It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments.” The spiritual application of the anointing with oil is that it begins with the head. Jesus of course is the head—in this case it begins with the demonstration of the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Why? Because we are all humans and as we come in contact with one another on a regular basis God’s Grace is indispensible. While we were still sinners Christ died for us, and while we are still imperfect His grace stays with us who have been born again and are part of His church, the church of the firstborn. Hebrews 12:23 “To the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect .” We believers were made just or righteous because of the grace of God and the blood of Jesus, while our perfection is still a work in progress; we have the love of God to sustain us, but it is up to us represented by the beard and the garment to allow that anointing oil to flow through us and give us the grace to love and accept one another along with our imperfections. Psalm 133:3 “It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forever more .” John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly .” Many of us have the life of Christ because we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, but sadly, many of us lack the abundant life that has been promised to us. At the end of Psalm 133 we are given the key that unlocks the secret to the abundant spiritual life that we desire: There the Lord commanded the blessing—Life forever more.” Where? It is the flowing of the anointing oil that breaks the yoke of oppression! And as we abide in this Spirit of unity, the blessings that God commanded are released upon His holy people, even those who abide in the power of His grace, live and are sustained by the demonstration of His love towards us and are willing to live in the fellowship of His Holy Spirit. Isaiah 48:17 “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ‘I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.’” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

- SPIRITUAL ENCOUNTERS | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on encountering God by seeking Him. Top of Page SPIRITUAL ENCOUNTERS Song of Solomon 3:1-2 “By night on my bed I sought the one I love; I sought him, but I did not find him. I will rise now, I said, and go about the city; in the streets and in the squares I will seek the one I love. I sought him but I did not find him.” There are two kinds of spiritual encounters between man and God, as far as our relationship with God’s plan for our lives is concerned. First is the kind where God reveals Himself to us, by way of an angel, personally, or in some supernatural manner, when we are not actively seeking Him. Such was the case with Saul of Tarsus, an encounter with God was the last thing on his mind as he traveled on the road to Damascus. The second form of an encounter with God is when we are actively seeking Him and some way or another He let’s us find Him. I believe the book of Song of Solomon has a wealth of information into the how to, of seeking a personal encounter with God. Let us look at the two different types of encounters and see if we can learn from this present lesson how to find favor with the Lord, and encounter His presence in a way that brings a life changing experience to us that results in our betterment. In the first type of encounter, God reveals Himself to a person for a specific purpose or reason. In Paul’s case it was for his conversion and called to future ministry, in other cases it could be for the protection of an individual, maybe to keep them from crossing a line from which there is no return. My first encounter with the physical manifestation of the presence of God was to keep me from making such a mistake. I was in a small boat fleeing the communist regime in Cuba in the Florida straights in August 1965, I brought two friends with me who were hiding under the small bow of the boat. We were hit by a strong tempest (chuvasco) and swamped by towering waves to the point that I thought the end of my life was at hand, as we were verily making it through that frontal line of menacing clouds in the middle of the night, we were almost struck by a cargo ship that was sailing in the middle of the storm. After seeing our SOS the cargo ship stopped to recue us, thinking they had hit us, we’ve maneuvered to the side of the cargo ship, by the hanged net they laid on the side of the ship in order for us to climb aboard the ship and out of the tempestuous sea. As my hand took hold of the net, an invisible man that was standing next to me told me to ask where they were going, I looked up to those who were waiting for us at the top of the net and asked them where were they going, something that you normally would not do when being rescued, it was a natural reaction to a supernatural prompting, the immediate answer came with an oriental accent; we are going to Havana! As if the net was charged with thousands of volts of electricity, my hand let go of it, and we sailed away as fast and as far as we could from that Chinese cargo ship that was headed to Havana, where we would have certainly been delivered into one of Castro’s many prisons. By next afternoon we encountered an island named Cay Sal and were spotted by a US navy plane that pointed us to that island, as soon as we knew that we were going to make it, the invisible man, an angel from the Lord, left, and in that instance all three of us looked at each other and wondered out loud, how is it that we were behaving as if there were four of us, when there is only three? All three of us knew he was there, we all felt his presence, I heard his voice, and we knew immediately when he left, yet we never saw him, neither did we comprehend his presence until after he departed. That evening a British warship picked us up from the island and took us to Port Everglades Florida, where we were welcome as refugees. I often pondered why did God do that miracle when none of us were even saved, and the only conclusion that I can come up with is that, had it not been for His sovereign intervention that night we would not have been able to fulfill God’s plan and destiny for our lives. I am sure that all of us will one day find out the countless times when the Lord intervened on our behalf, for the battles that God’s angels fight for us is a constant one. In the first type of encounter God is making sure that His plans for the individual’s life is not altered, so that the nature of the encounter is more functional in nature than personal, not so in the second type of encounter, for this encounter is very personal in nature, where God responds to those who seek to have a deeper, more personal relationship with Him. By night on my bed, I sought the one I love. It is not easy to position ourselves properly in order to have the opportunity of having the experience of a personal encounter with the Lord, such experiences are just as precious as they are rare, but our desire of them speaks volumes of how real and deep our love for Him is. What is it that is on our minds when we suddenly awake in the middle of the night, before the cares of this life come rushing in? The Shulamite, a type for the church in this story, wakes up longing for a personal encounter with the love of her life and then she decides to do something about it; she says, I will rise now and go about the city, obviously she is looking for Him. This is a sign for those of us who personally desire to have a life changing encounter with the Lord deep within our hearts, if suddenly we wake up in the middle of the night longing for Him, in response to that longing, we should get up and seek Him fervently in prayer. In the streets and in the squares, I will seek the one I love. The word for streets in the Hebrew has the idea of as run over something, almost like a bridge, from its root word that means to run after or over to something. The idea behind the word for streets is that of, we have to cross over, in our case it would imply that we have to cross over into the spiritual realm as we seek an encounter with our Lord, by putting all our physical limitations and suppositions behind us. The word translated squares literally means broad way or broad place, from its root word that means to broaden or to make wide. To seek the encounter with the One we love we must be willing to cross over into the spiritual realm, and in order to do this we have to widen or broaden our perspective of how the spiritual realm operates. We have to be willing to negate the perceived limitations that hinder us from entering into His presence and not be dissuaded from apparent failures. As the Shulamite says twice in our opening verses, I sought him, but I did not find him. Song of Solomon 3:3 “The watchman who go about the city found me; I said, ‘Have you seen the one I love?’” If the city is symbolic of the spiritual realm where she went searching for the one she loves, then the watchman is symbolic of the angels that police the spiritual realm, notice how she handled her encounter with them: Have you seen the one I love? She was not hesitant at all, she was determined in her commitment to find the one she loved. Song of Solomon 3:4 “Scarcely had I passed by them, when I found the one I love. I held him and would not let him go, until I had brought him to the house of my mother, and into the chamber (room) of her who conceived me.” This is an interesting insight into what drove her desire for an encounter with the one she loved. In the natural she was saying I want you to meet my mother, if you are in the dating stage of your life I do not have to tell you what that means, for you know that she means business once she asks you to meet her mother, what that means is that she is definitely serious about your relationship with her. But from the spiritual aspect, I looked at the words here that state, the chamber of her who conceived me. I think that this is a reference to the inner rooms of the heart, meaning that her goal all along was for this spiritual encounter to bring her Savior into the inner chambers of her heart, where spiritual conception takes place, she wanted to experience her loved one in a way that she had never experienced him before. Proverbs 20:27 “The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner depths (literally: inner rooms of the belly) of his heart.” The difference then, between our first and second types of spiritual encounter is, that in the first type angels or watchers intervene on behalf of those whose destiny is threaten by the mischievousness of the devil against them. In the second type of encounter there is nothing that the angels can do, for in this type of encounter the human heart is the issue, and only God is qualified to deal with the issues of the heart, and He will never intrude into the human heart unless He is first, personally invited, and second, we make special preparations within us that will make Him feel welcome. Step number one: Song of Solomon 4:1 “Behold, you are fair, my love! Behold you are fair! You have dove’s eyes behind your veil (the curtain that covers the door that leads into our hearts). Your hair (covering) is like a flock of goats, going down from Mount Gilead.” The dove is the symbol for the Holy Spirit, and the veil represents the door to the inner rooms of our hearts, typified by the curtain that covers the entrance to the Holy of Holies in God’s Tabernacle. That means that we have to be born again, born of the Spirit of God if we want to experience this type of encounter with Jesus deep within our hearts, because that is where the Holy Spirit resides after we are born again, deep within our hearts. Step number two: Our covering, symbolized by the hair, has to be in place by being a part of the flock, the church, which is the body of Christ. Some believers are not properly covered because their pastors are in direct disobedience to the Word of God, hence they are not properly covered by their fellowship, which makes it a lot more difficult for them to have an experience of true intimacy with the Lord, especially when their leaders are proclaiming a different gospel that portrays another Jesus and a different spirit which they have not received. 2 Corinthians 11:4 “For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it (but the Lord will not).” In these matters we have to be very careful, for no church is perfect, but if you cannot tell the difference between your church and the world, then all your striving for a spiritual encounter with the real Jesus may be for naught. But remember this, never leave a fellowship to which you were called unless the Lord Himself calls you out of it first, and make sure that He confirms it before you act, that way you will not lose your true covering no matter where He leads you, for He will be your covering and your protection wherever you go. Step number three: Song of Solomon 4:2 “Your teeth are like a flock of shorn sheep which have come up from the washing, every one of which bears twins, and none is barren (bereaved) among them.” Our teeth represent the condition of the human soul, which is designed to reflect the Fruit of the Spirit of love who lives within us, which are: Love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, kindness, faithfulness, meekness, and self-control, for against these there is no law. We need to make sure that none of these qualities are lacking within us, for they adorn our inner man and make us to be more attractive to the Lord. Since we love and desire intimacy with Him we should desire to be more presentable: Which have come up from the washing. After all no body likes bad breath. 1 Peter 1:9 “Receiving the end (goal) of your faith—the salvation of your souls.” We can find many allegories in the book of Song of Solomon to help prepare us for a life changing experience with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But let us make sure that our desire for intimacy always flows out of a grateful heart that knows the hell from which He has delivered us, having a sincere desire for true intimacy with Him should trump everything else. The results of such a spiritual encounter should be that of us becoming more fruitful in every aspect of both our spiritual and physical walk with Him. Amen! - RELENT OR RESIST | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Romans 9:19 “You will say to me then, ‘Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?’” Top of Page RELENT OR RESIST Romans 9:19 “You will say to me then, ‘Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?’” How do we know, when an adverse circumstance rises against us, if we are to resist it, or just accept it and endure it? Here is what I mean, if the adversity is a trial sent to us from God for the testing of our faith, we would not want to fail the test by resisting the adverse circumstance to the point where we renege our faith on His promise that if we endure trials faithfully, He will see us through them. But if it is an attack from the enemy, we want to come against it head on and defeat it, for we are told that if we submit to God and resist the devil that he will flee from us. Acts 7:51 “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.” The Scripture in Acts gives us a tremendous insight into how vital it is for our wellbeing to be able to know when we are to resist adversity, and when we are to relent and endure them. Because if we are resisting the Holy Spirit we are fighting against the will of God for our lives, and that is not going to be good for anybody. Uncircumcised in heart and ears. Circumcision is a type for the removal of the flesh from the life-giving ordinances of God, in other words, we need to remove our carnality from the decision making process. That resolves the first part of the problem. An uncircumcised ear is one that focuses on the adversity alone, and by doing so, the heart, where the decision-making process takes place, is compromised, for it cannot make an informed decision since it is only receiving one side of the adversity, we are facing, which is the pain it causes, and not what the potential benefits, if any, might be. As your fathers did, so do you. The second part of the problem is generational; resisting the will of God for our lives is embedded within our human genes, courtesy of the fall of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, the Paradise of God for us. Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden to prevent them from partaking of the fruit of the Tree of Life, for had they eaten from it in their rebelliously carnal state, they would have become like the fallen angels, unredeemable and eternally dammed forever. In God’s plan of redemption for humanity, Jesus who is the Tree of Life, hung naked on the cross to cover our nakedness with His holiness, and opened the door for us back into the Paradise of God where we can freely partake of the fruit of the Tree of Life, which is His Word/Promises. John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” So that our decision-making process, concerning anything, has to be based on the Word of God instead of what the flesh is experiencing! How do we circumcise our hearts and ears? Romans 9:9 “For this is the word of promise…” We have to begin at the point of our salvation. Our salvation is the result of God’s promises to mankind. In Jesus, the Seed of the woman, all the promises of God given to us can be attained. For there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved and delivered. Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Spiritually speaking, what I am trying to say is that if we are fully persuaded that we belong to Jesus Christ, and we know for a fact that His Holy Spirit is within us, and we are convinced that He has a plan and a purpose for our lives, and that His plan and purpose is the very best for us, then nothing else really matters does it? What I’m saying is that as long as we are fully committed to His good will and great and precious promises for us, the result can never be in doubt, even if our discernment fails us at times, for as it is written: Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” What that does for us is that it takes the pressure off from our decision-making process. Hey, I don’t want to suffer a minute longer than I have to in order to obtain God’s promises for my life, for I do not enjoy suffering. But I know that if I somehow miss a turn and have to go around the block one extra time or two, it is not going to stop God from getting me there, for this is what He promised me: Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” True deliverance, or circumcision of the heart begins, when we finally cross a threshold in our hearts that says: I belong to God, and I am fully committed to His will for my life, therefore nothing is going to keep me from fulfilling His will and purpose for my life. When adversity comes our way, and our hearts are in tune with the words that Jesus speaks to us, which are spirit and truth—spiritual truth—we will know instantly if we are to resist the adversity with the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God, or if we are to relent and let the work of adversity work its way through, in the meanwhile we strengthen our faith while the persecution is crossing our path. John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” We need to remember that often times deliverance and tribulation go hand in hand. Now why is that? In the circumcision typology, the life-giving male semen gets corrupted as it comes in contact with the flesh, the foreskin, as it is spread abroad. The two-fold covenant of circumcision with Abraham was given as a type for those who were entrusted with the propagation of God’s Word, that they were to keep it from contamination. For the Jews who are the heirs of the physical promise—the Holy Land, the ritual was a physical act to be performed on every newborn Jewish boy on the eighth day. Paul infuses into the church the spiritual implication of the two-fold circumcision covenant that God made with Abraham. Colossians 2:10-13 “And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands (spiritual circumcision), by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses.” What Paul is saying is that for those of us who are saved, being buried with Jesus in baptism at the moment of our spiritual rebirth, eight being the number that represents a new beginning, we were spiritually circumcised, as babes in Christ. We are His body here on earth, the church, and it falls upon us to broadcast or propagate His Life-giving Word to a world that is barren. But if that Life-giving Word is contaminated by the dead works of the flesh, it loses its power to raise those who are dead back to the spiritual life that was once promised to those who would believe. Matthew 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.” So, going back to our opening do we relent or resist question; the adversities and tribulations we are suffering, are they caused by our losing our saltiness or is it because of our saltiness that we bear then? Your honest answer to that question will guide you into which path you need to take. If you are being trampled underfoot by men, then it is time for you to let go of the flesh that is contaminating the promises of God for your life, and keeping them from coming to full fruition in you. On the other hand, if you are being persecuted for taking a firm stand on the Word of God in this corrupt world, for salt is the antidote to corruption, then you should bear the tribulations gladly, for they are a sign of the effectiveness of your walk with Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 4:12-14 “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory (your spiritual walk) and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings
- SPIRITUAL ORDER | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on 2 Thessalonians 3:7 “For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us, for we were not disorderly among you.” Top of Page SPIRITUAL ORDER 2 Thessalonians 3:7 “For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us, for we were not disorderly among you.” The reality is that today many Christians do not really understand spiritual order, and because of their lack of knowledge in this subject they needlessly suffer lack. The kingdom of heaven is a spiritual kingdom, and those of us who are born of the Spirit of God have been called to navigate within the spiritual order that governs His heavenly kingdom. As anyone who has traveled to an unknown destination knows, if you do not have a good set of directions and a reliable map, and a common understanding of how to read and follow a set of directions, chances are that you will get lost and suffer the loss of time and resources. It is the same as we travel in our spiritual journey, we are traveling to an unknown destination, unknown to us that is, for God knows where He is taking us, but if we do not understand the spiritual order that governs our journey we will not be much help to God in Him getting us there on time. That is why we are commanded that in all things we must follow the path of the spiritual order that God has foreordained. 1 Corinthians 14:40 “Let all things be done decently and in order.” In our opening text Paul tells the Thessalonians that they know how they ought to follow them, because of the order with which he taught them. 2 Thessalonians 3:6 “But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received from us.” Notice how Paul said, we command you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, this was not a request, this is how vitally important this matter is, for spiritual disorder will frustrate the plan of God for our lives. The flow of the authority of the Word of God, like electricity traveling through an electrical circuit, follows a clearly defined path that works perfectly as long as the orderly flow is maintained, any deviation causes the flow to trip the switch that immediately shuts off the power. Let me see if I can, with the help of the Holy Spirit, lay out some of the basic rules that govern this spiritual flow so that we can learn how to maintain spiritual order in our lives, and thereby not hinder the plan and purpose that God has ordained for us to fulfill. Isaiah 55:10-11 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” God uses the illustration of how the rain and the snow that melts and waters the earth and accomplishes the purpose for which He sends it, to reveal how the spiritual power of His Word functions. He sends out His Word as a flow of energy and those who partake, that is, come in agreement with His Word and live their lives accordingly, will fulfill the purpose for which they were created through the power that the energy of the Word of God provides them with. So that the number one rule is: Follow the directions that the Word of God provides, that is, if you want to fulfill the purpose for which He created you. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ (the flowing power of the anointed One) who strengthens me.” So that if I believe that my life is not an accident, but that God purposed me to be born and assigned to me His good plan and purpose for me to fulfill through the power that He provides, then that leads me to: Rule number two: I have to believe that God has a divine purpose for my life, and that I am not just here to mow the grass and tend the garden. 2 Thessalonians 2:13 “But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.” It is belief in this truth that brings spiritual order into our personal lives. That is we connect with the energy that flows from heaven above, the Word of God, and it is that energy that empowers us to change course, to turn away from the vanities of this life that perishes, and to aim for the goal of faith which is eternal life with Jesus, to be with Him we must be like Him, and that is what sanctification does, it prepares us for eternity. Spiritual order also functions corporally, as in within the family unit and within the church. So that we also need to understand the path that spiritual order follows corporally so that we can function properly within the family unit and within the church, which is our spiritual family. 1 Corinthians 11:3 “But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.” The above verse can be controversial to those who do not understand the flow of spiritual order. But we need to know that God has set the institution of holy matrimony as the foundation of the family unit, and as a type for the relationship between Jesus and His church. So that if I come with the mindset of natural understanding and say, I am a man therefore I am the head of the woman, I immediately negate the spiritual fact that in Christ, I, as a man, am the bride of Christ also. So that within the natural process, spiritual authority or order, flows from God to Christ, from Christ to man, from man to woman, from woman to children, but from the spiritual perspective all authority and order flows out of the unchanging and uncompromising Word of God, to which all things owe their allegiance to, be it physical or spiritual. So that those who deviate from the natural order, that is, refrain from following in the tenants prescribed by the Word of God, fall into disorder, just as much as those who though in the proper natural position deviate from their responsibilities to the Word of God, and to their own peril fall into disorder themselves. Ephesians 3:14-15 “For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven (spiritual order) and earth (physical order) is named.” Paul writes that He is fully committed to the principle of spiritual order by bowing his knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, do you see the progression? But then he adds, to whom the whole family, natural and spiritual belong. We see in the natural how this principle works, when the family unit breaks down everything is prone to disorder, but we also witness that when the family unit, though intact, rejects or ignores the principles in the Word of God, that disorder rules there as well. So that the key is in our understanding how the principle of spiritual order works and all that is at stake, for the results will be either order or disorder. So that our third rule is made obvious by the fact that in spiritual order, God, His Word, and the Holy Spirit are the only One’s who are perfect, and who perfectly agree, and all that follows within that spiritual order must comply fully to the tenants of the Word of God, and if not, their position is nullified immediately and ceded to the next in line that believes and applies the Word of God. 2 Thessalonians 2:15 “Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.” How do I know if my house is in the proper spiritual order? 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 “Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.” Notice how the order is reversed, Jesus and then the Father, that means that the Lord wants us to look upward to see if we are conforming with God’s plan for us, the plan that was made available to us by our Lord Jesus Christ and the good hope and grace that comforts our hearts, for that is what establishes us to do His good word and works. If there is enmity in your heart against His Word for you or the work that He has called you to do, chances are that you are out of His spiritual order and lack the power to fulfill His calling for your life. Isaiah 30:15 “For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: ‘In returning (repentance) and rest (in His promises) you shall be saved (delivered); in quietness and confidence shall be your strength.’ But you would not.” Would you? It is better to be hot or cold than to be indifferent, if indifference is not what you are dealing with right now, weigh the cost of your salvation, figure out the benefits of spiritual order in your life against the cost of disorder and chaos, which is more profitable to you now? Which is more profitable to you in the age to come? The Bible is full of characters that sold their future inheritance for a morsel of bread, and every single one of them live and died to regret it. I hope that is not you my friend, for I feel as I am writing this, that your weariness is weighing you down somehow . 2 Thessalonians 3:13 “But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good.” Do the right thing! 2 Thessalonians 3:16 “Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) shows you how to let God direct your life by saying this prayer out loud. Spanish version. Amén Volver a Oraciones empoderadoras
