  • GETHSEMANE: THE OIL PRESS | HoFM

Top of Page GETHSEMANE: THE OIL PRESS Mark 14:32 “Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, ‘Sit here while I pray’” In the natural it is hard to believe that sweet clear oil can come from olives; just judging by their appearance it would be difficult for many of us to figure out that olives can produce such a great and valuable commodity if we did not know about them already. The Bible uses God’s creation in many different ways as a metaphor or in other words, God uses physical things that we naturally understand to reveal spiritual principles which are naturally difficult for us to understand, that is why Jesus used so many parables in His teachings. It would be extremely hard for, let’s say, creatures that know about the goodness and holiness of Almighty God, and who also know and are well aware of the rottenness of man, to think that in any way, shape, or form we humans are created in the image of God, but we are. And that is exactly the idea that this metaphor is trying to convey to us. Luke 1:37 “For with God nothing will be impossible.” The first thing that this metaphor teaches us is that the transition between humanity and divinity is a process, a difficult, some will say impossible process, but as the angel told Mary, God specializes in making those things which are impossible a reality. The foundational principle of this process is revealed in the reality of the life and death struggle that is found throughout the creation. Mark 14:34 “Then He said to them, ‘My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.’” Everything in creation speaks of the struggles between life and death, beginning and ending, and the continuance of life through procreation. Spiritual procreation however, and by that I mean the human transformation that takes place from natural to spiritual, from mortality to immortality, as well as the born again experience, cannot be attained unless one dies first. We see this in the creation as well, it is called metamorphosis. John 12:24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.” This process of dying to self so that we can become alive to God can be best understood by the Gethsemane principle that Jesus taught us. John 12:25 “He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” The Gethsemane principle is one of slowly applying pressure until a separation takes place, the liquid must be removed from the solid, in our case, our souls which are spiritual in nature must be weaned from their dependence to the flesh, if the transformation is going to be successful. Psalm 131:2 “Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.” This principle is at odds with some of what we hear taught today about Christianity, for in some instances Christian doctrine is offered as a way to get away from pressure, sort of like a refuge from reality. I kind of get the impression sometimes that what some are preaching is, Come to Jesus and all your troubles and poverty will magically disappear, and you will have no more struggles with life. But that is not what Jesus said, unfortunately those who come to Jesus on the basis of a false premise are more likely to quit and give up. John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Jesus makes it very clear that the aim of the process is not to remove the tribulation, the pressure that we are under while we are in the world; but rather that we may attain His peace in the middle of the tribulation. We convert the physical pressures of this world into spiritual peace, a peace that is not of this world, and the way that we know that we can do that is because He not only did it before us, but He showed us how to do it as well. And this is how He did it: Mark 14:36 “And He said, ‘Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.’” Here is how I see it: If I know that all of my sins have been forgiven, and if I know that my daily walk with Him is one that continuously depends on His grace and mercy which are new every morning, and if I know that that is what keeps me in right standing with Him; then I know that if I am facing a difficult situation and I ask Him to remove it from me, for I much rather not drink of that cup if you will, of whatever it is that I am facing, and if He does not remove it from me, I am immediately made aware of the fact this is something that will be beneficial for me in the long run, and I must endure it. So that I do not feel like He does not love me anymore, or that He is punishing me for some old sin that He never brought up, or that I somehow fell out of His will for my life. Peace is knowing that it is well with my soul no matter what. If He removes the thorn from my flesh, I praise Him for His wonderful grace and mercy that He has shown to me, if He does not, then I praise Him for His wonderful grace and mercy that He has shown to me by letting me go through a process of purification that will make me more sensitive to His spiritual promptings. So like Jesus, in whatever situation I am facing, I let our Father know how I feel about the prospect of an undesirable tribulation that is coming my way, but then I say with a submitted and honest heart: Not my will, but Your will be done in my life. For I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I belong to Him, and that I am in His will to the best of my present abilities, and that whatever comes my way is part of the process that will one day deliver me into the joy of His presence, completed and transformed, into what He destined me to be, for He is able to do it, I just got to go along with it. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.” Now if I am one of those who believe that Christianity is like a club med type of resort, where all my needs are tended to immediately, with no disturbances to bother me, and I say in my heart to the Lord, When is that big limousine coming over to take me to heaven Lord, for as You know Lord, next year is not going to work out for me, for I got other and more important things to do? Boy! Then I would be in for a rude awakening. Think of all the different olives that are thrown down into the pit of the olive press, is any of them treated differently than the others? I think not! They are all pressed evenly and thoroughly until the process is completed, then and only then is the flesh removed, after all the oil has been extracted, the anointing oil that breaks the yoke. Mark 14:3 “And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His (Jesus) head.” Before Jesus headed for His encounter with Gethsemane He was anointed with a very expensive perfumed oil. Before the apostles of Jesus headed for their encounter with their destined Gethsemane, where all of them but John died as martyrs, they also were anointed with the precious oil of the Spirit that came down from heaven. Before we enter into our very own Gethsemane oil press, we are all anointed as well, for none of us can be born again unless we are first born of the Spirit of God. So that I see a pattern here. What makes the miracle of the transformation is the Oil of God in us, the anointing oil that breaks the yoke of worthlessness and makes us precious before Him. Many do not understand the function of the Oil of God, or the oil of the anointing. If you remember as the one hundred and twenty disciples were filled with the oil of the Spirit and had the oil of the anointing lid over their heads, some said of them that they were drunk, for they could not see the great significance of the event. Mark 14:4 “But there were some who were indignant among themselves, and said, ‘Why was this fragrant oil wasted?’” It was the same when Jesus was anointed by the woman, some saw nothing but a waste of a good, perfumed oil, and thereby missed the significance as well, which Jesus soon reveled to them. Mark 14:8 “She has done what she could. She has come beforehand to anoint My body for burial.” Here is the revelation of the mystery that I see: The anointing that we all crave and want to be filled of with its power, its a burial anointing, a death anointing if you will. It makes me wonder how many of us when we pray for God’s anointing power for our lives, if we really know that what we are asking for is to die the death of the cross, die to self, die to life, that He may live in us and through us without us hindering Him and His will for us. Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the anointed One) lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” More Teachings Found Here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • THE ENTIRETY OF YOUR WORD IS TRUTH | HoFM

THE ENTIRETY OF YOUR WORD IS TRUTH Psalm 119:160 “The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.” If there is a kink in the armor of the faithful it has to be in their failure to comprehend the entirety of truth presented to us in God’s Word. It was Pilate who beholding into the face of Truth, stupidly asked what has to be the dumbest question ever asked: What is truth? John 18:38 “Pilate said to Him, ‘What is truth?’...I find no fault in Him at all.” I do not fault people for not knowing what truth is if they have not met Truth, but Pilate met Truth in person and recognized Him to be Truth, for he also said that he found no fault in Him; if there is no fault in Him then He is the real thing, the entirety of truth. Is there something going on here that can help us to understand what the entirety of God’s Truth is? Let’s take a look at what Jesus said to Pilate first, who by the way, was not a stupid man, for Pilate’s position required him to be astute in both, politics and governance, which requires great insight into matters of understanding people’s behavior in regards to the application of laws. John 18:37 “Pilate therefore said to Him, ‘Are you a king then?’ Jesus answered, ‘You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.’” Pilate knew that the charges that they were brought against Jesus were politically motivated, for the ministry of Jesus was a threat to the Jewish leadership of that time. Pilate saw this as a struggle for power between the Jews, and he saw himself as the kingmaker. So that in essence what Pilate asked Jesus was this, Tell me, why should I make You a king, what’s in it for me? To which Jesus responded, You know that I am a King for you have seen My authority (I’m paraphrasing). Then Jesus reveals to Pilate what His ministry, or kingship, was really all about, For this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. It was at that point that Pilate crossed the line, in what is a normal human response when confronted with undeniable truth, he turned and mocked Truth! After that Pilate tried unsuccessfully to extricate himself from the matter. He tried to release Jesus indirectly, by putting Him side by side with the worse criminal, but they chose the criminal over Jesus. He had Jesus tortured and punished by having Him scourged, mocked, and ridiculed, then he brought Jesus before His accusers and said: John 19:5 “Then Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them, ‘Behold the Man!’” But it was not enough to satisfy the lie, for the lie can never exist while in the presence of Truth, no matter how much the truth is ridiculed. John 19:6 “Therefore, when the chief priest and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, ‘Crucify Him, crucify Him!’ Pilate said to them, ‘You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.’” The reality is that once a person is confronted with Truth there is no going back, they can try to suppress the truth all they want, but like in the case of Pilate’s actions, to no avail. What is the message here for us who believe that Jesus is the Truth? Is He the entirety of Truth, or like Pilate, are we struggling to come to terms with the reality of it? Let me explain what I mean. Here is what the second part of our opening text reveals to us. Every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever. Our normal human response to truth is to recognize it at first, but we are also influenced to believe that truth can change in response to the changing circumstances. In other words, we inheritably take issue with absolute truth that endures forever. We inherited that predisposition from Adam and Eve who believed the lie of the devil at the cost of partaking of the tree of life, which is: Every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever. So that as Christians we are confronted with a constant assault against the truth of the Word of God in which we first believed. All the devil has to do is to get us to doubt just one of His righteous judgments, and just like that, we will find ourselves outside of the absolute truth that endures forever. And like Pilate we try hard to make up for our deficiencies and we just end up making it worse. Here is the key that keeps us from falling away from the Word of Truth: Psalm 119:157 “Many are my persecutors and my enemies, yet I do not turn from Your testimonies.” I do not turn from Your testimonies, plural, that means I keep every one of them, and I know that His testimonies, or covenant, endure forever. In order to keep all His testimonies, all the time, we need to understand the covenant that God has secured to His testimonies. For we cannot keep any of His testimonies outside of the covenant of salvation. Hebrews 6:17-18 “Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel (His testimonies), confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.” The context is the priesthood of Jesus as the mediator of the new covenant, and it is within this context that God takes an oath which is based on two immutable, or unchangeable things: First is the fact that it is impossible for God to lie. The second is that God swore to the priest from Melchizedek’s line that He would not change His mind. Hebrews 7:21 “...The Lord has sworn and will not relent (change His mind), ‘You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.’” Can you see how God deals with the tendency of our fallen human nature to see truth from the context of changing? He removes any grounds to doubt that we may entertain, by basing the New Covenant on two unchangeable facts: The God who cannot lie, swore that He would not change His mind! In the natural we see some things that are very dear to us today, fall out of our favor tomorrow. Persons that we love and have sworn to love in the past, can give us reason today that causes us to change our minds and our feelings towards them. And that is how we tend to see ourselves in the sight of God. When we are trusting in His testimonies we feel good and secured. When we struggle to comprehend the truth of His promises to us, we wonder if we’ve done something that caused Him to change His mind about us. Without love there is no way to resolve this. Psalm 119:165 “Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble.” I love His law because I love Jesus; God’s law, God’s Word, God’s promises, God’s statutes, are one and the same with Jesus! The law of the Lord is perfect because Jesus is perfect! The law of the Lord is perfected in us when we put our trust in the entirety of God’s Word! Jesus is perfect in every way, therefore we love and trust Jesus in every way, there is no reason then why we should not put our trust in the entirety of God’s Word at all times, all the time, for ever and forever. Jesus loves us and has saved us; He swore on an oath, and He cannot lie, that He would not change His mind about His love for us. He loves us eternally and unconditionally, is there any reason why we should not love Him and His Word eternally and unconditionally as well? I see none! How do we handle then, the daily barrage that continuously confronts our trust and confidence in the Word and promises of God to us? Psalm 119:158 “I see the treacherous, and am disgusted, because they do not keep Your word.” Here is something new, instead of distrust, when doubts are raised about the veracity of God’s Word, it is disgust toward the slanderers that raises up from within us. Is it not so that when something treasured that is beautiful and lovely is slandered, that contempt towards the slanderers is what rises? Why should we doubt the immutable and unchangeable Word of God that promises us God’s unending, fervent, and perfect love? Is not Jesus the manifestation of God’s perfect love towards us? John 3:17 “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” What part of Jesus do we not love or agree with? If we love and agree with all that Jesus is and did for us, then we also must believe that the entirety of God’s Word is truth. Since it is God’s Word who testifies of Him and of His love and of His covenant that He made on our behalf. We cannot and should not have one outside of the other! Psalm 119:166 “Lord, I hope for Your salvation, and I do Your commandments.” James 1:22 “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” More Teachings Found Here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • THE FEAR OF THE LORD | HoFM

Top of Page THE FEAR OF THE LORD Ecclesiastes 12:13 “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all.” What is the fear of the Lord? I remember back in June 1976, when I first became a Christian, wondering what it meant to fear God back then, after all I was saved by responding to the Gospel, where Jesus forgave all my sins and I was made aware of His love for me. But every time that I read in the Bible about fearing God I felt that I was missing something, then I heard somebody teach that to fear God meant to respect God, and I thought that made more sense, but still I felt that perhaps something was missing. Thirty seven years later and I feel that I have a better understanding of what the fear of the Lord is, but I know still that there is so much more that I need to learn about God if I ever want to get close to have a deeper understanding of the true meaning of that phrase, why is that? God reveals Himself to humans in different levels and at different times, and the more that we experience the revelation of God and at different levels, the greater that our understanding will be of what the fear of the Lord is to us personally. Take a young person that goes to war, and while there in the front lines experiences the death of soldiers around him, and in some way he is convinced that he will not come out alive, but yet somehow he survives, that young person will have an extremely different understanding of what fear is, when compared let’s say to a person that has never come that close to the reality of death. So that there are different levels of fear that are based on the different experiences of fear that we’ve encountered throughout our lives that will limit our understanding of what the fear of the Lord truly is. Let us see if we can analyze the fears that we might not have personally faced in our own past, through the experiences of others in Scripture. Hebrews 12:21 “And so terrifying was the sight that Moses said, ‘I am exceedingly afraid and trembling.’” I find that in the deepest level of our souls, where the fear that resides deep within us is, we have also the capacity to experience the highest level of human elation possible, so that both fear and elation are there together. I believe that what brings the greatest level of fear upon a human is to be exposed to the glory of God, and it is that same glory that brings about the greatest elation into the very core of that born again believer. When I experienced the rapture in a vision back in 1989, my body was so afraid when I saw Jesus in the fullness of His glory, that it trembled so much that the cells in my body felt like they were becoming unglued, for my body was gripped with such an incredible fear, yet at the same time my spirit was shouting at the top of his voice, Hallelujah, He kept His promised. I wrote the entire vision in the introduction page in my book Man’s Final Destiny, in the books section of the houseoffaithministries.org So that at the same instant that I was experiencing the greatest fear that I had ever felt, I’ve also experienced the greatest elation possible. So that for those of us who believe, fear and elation kind of go together, for with the fear-experience comes the opportunity to receive a higher level of rev-elation. Remember that it was after experiencing the terrifying fear that caused him to trembled, that Moses received the ten commandments along with the rest of the law. Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Do you see Proverbs 9:10 through a different light now? I know I do! Ecclesiastes 12:14 “For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.” I believe that the next level of fear that trouble many of us has to do with God’s judgments over the works of our hands, since many of us have very different definitions of what the right thing to do is. How do we deal with the fear that our actions or lack of actions bring to our hearts when we view them through the prism of facing the judgment of God someday? Hebrews 4:12-13 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” The source of the fear of the judgment of our works or deeds, emanates from all those secret things that we have done and believe are hidden and out of sight, and when we are reminded that one day they will all be exposed, it gives us a great deal of consternation to say the least. How do we deal with this fear over the judgment of our works? We need to expose the motive for our actions to the light of the Word of God. Remember that our righteousness are like filthy rags to God, and our deeds do not merit any better, for as it is written: Romans 3:12 “They have all turned aside; they have together become unprofitable; there is none who does good, no, not one.” So that if our righteousness before God can only stand on the foundation of His grace, so do our works as well. So that everything that I do that is right, can only come as the result of His grace working through me, Scripturally speaking, and everything else I must bring to the cross as well, and ask the Lord to forgive them. So that in everything Jesus gets the glory; He gets the glory when I do what is right, for I can only do what is right through the power of His grace working in me, and when I confess all my faults, misdeeds, and all my failures before Him, He gets the glory as well, for only He is faithful and just to forgive me of all my trespasses when I confess them before Him, that is what frees me from the fear of judgment. 1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” In a perfect love relationship, there are no secrets; if we know that Jesus truly loves us and that He is willing to forgive us of any and all sins that we confess before Him, so that we can start fresh every morning, then we know that there is not going to be any surprises on judgment day. So that next time that the devil tries to condemn you by bringing to your memory some past sins that you have already confessed to the Lord, and you feel that spirit of fear rising up within you, recall to your mind this next Scripture and have hope: Lamentations 3:20-23 “My soul still remembers and sinks within me. This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” The next level of fear that we are dealing with in this lesson is respect. Hebrews 5:14 “But solid food belongs to those who are of full age (mature), that is, those who by reason of use (practice) have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Respect has to do with assuming responsibilities for our actions, if we just think, well if I do wrong I’ll just repent and go on my merry way. An unruly child is disciplined by the rod, a child that listens however, though still a child, can receive discipline through words. The most grievous parts of our sins to God is when we injure others by them, thereby causing damage to God’s goods, that is when God will time-out those who refuse discipline, and at the root of refusing to be disciplined by the Word of God is the lack of respect for it. Galatians 6:7-8 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” He who sows to the flesh will live in fear, fear of God, fear of others, fear of his actions, fear of the future, fear of judgment, for all these fears come as the results of corruption within, and may someday bring that person to the point where they become incorrigible. He who sows to the Spirit is continuously guided by the counsel of the Word of God, his fear or respect for it, drive his actions to the point where he eventually matures into the place of peace that our Lord has reserved for him. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • WONDERS IN HEAVEN ABOVE | HoFM

Top of Page WONDERS IN HEAVEN ABOVE Acts 2:19 “I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke.” As Peter quoted the prophet Joel about what was transpiring after the Holy Spirit fell on the one hundred and twenty disciples and they were prophesying and speaking in tongues, the Holy Spirit did not stop Peter, but allowed him to continue with the rest of Joel’s prophecy that not only told how the church would begin, but that also spoke of how the church age would come to an end. We know from the history of the church that when the Holy Spirit fell upon the believers on the day of Pentecost, wonders in the heavens did not appear, for the sun did not turned into darkness neither did the moon turned into blood on that day, for those wonders are reserved for the times of the end of the church age to announce our Lord’s return. Mark 13:24-26 “But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.” We have plenty of Scriptures that associate those wondrous cosmic upheavals to the return of Jesus Christ for His church. Since we are living in the days of the closing of the church age, it is imperative that we not only look for those signs to come to pass in our day, but that we understand what those signs are and how they relate to our present condition when they appear. What does the powers in the heavens will be shaken mean? Modern science has a very strong grip in our present understanding of the physical heaven of today, we see the pictures of the myriad of galaxies that fill the sky, and we struggle to understand the vast distances that separate us, not only from other galaxies, but even from those stars that are close to us within our own galaxy. The immensity of those vast distances, and the scope and grandeur of the cosmos in relation to our tiny earth, makes even those of us who believe that God created us feel so insignificant, that it diminishes our own conception of who we are, and it makes us wonder why such a great Creator would bother Himself with such a small speck of dirt. I believe that when the powers of the heavens are shaken, all those misconceptions that we presently have about the universe, and our importance within it, will be done away with right away. What does Scripture really mean when it states that the powers of the heavens will be shaken? Can we, from our present-day vantage point postulate what the real unseen power that runs the universe is? And can we imagine what the reality of the unseen universe will be when it is finally revealed? I do not know that we really can, but that should not stop us from trying to seek the truth that will prepare us to readily accept our place within the creation when it is finally revealed through God’s wonders. Where do we start? Psalm 8:1,4 “O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth, who have set Your glory above the heavens!...What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?” When David saw the revelation of the many wonders of God’s heavenly creation, he felt the same way that we do when we gaze at the pictures that come to us from the universe that reveals creation’s wonders. It caused David to ask, if I can paraphrase: What is the human race that You visit us, that You care for us, that You give attention to? Immediately God answered his question. Psalm 8:6 “You have made him (humans) to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet.” The answer lies not in the proportion of our size in relation to the greatness of the creation, but rather in the greatness of the position that has been assigned to us within the creation. As we read the history of the creation in the opening chapters of the book of Genesis, galaxies and constellations are not the focus, neither are black holes or dark matter, man is the crowning achievement of God’s creation! That is why he was put in charge of all that was created. Psalm 19:1 “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handy work.” The firmament refers to the first heaven, the physical realm of which the earth is the capitol, where man was placed to rule everything from. So that while the heavens, visible and invisible, demonstrate how magnificently glorious and powerful the Creator is, His human creation before the fall, was created to demonstrate God’s righteous character and compassion, the invisible qualities of the Creator, into a visible forum He called the firmament where He placed His human jewels. So that the supreme qualities of the Creator are not seen through the heavenly bodies that He created, marvelously wonderful as they might be. The supreme quality of the Creator can be seen through the human creatures that He created in His personal image, as fully demonstrated through the life of Jesus, the only human able to portray God’s wondrous love in all its beauty and elegance, towards fallen creatures like us who did not deserve His love or compassion to begin with. Psalm 8:3 “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained.” God created all His heavenly wonders with His fingertips . Isaiah 63:5 “...Therefore My own arm brought salvation for Me...” But when it came to the creation and to the salvation of His beloved humans it required all the strength of His right arm. If we put it within the context of God’s creation this is what it all means, all the billions and billions of galaxies, all the trillions and trillions of stars, all the nebulas, all the black holes, all the dark matter, all the dark energy, gravity, you name it, all of those things which exist in the universe were made by the simple touch of God’s finger. But when it came to His beloved humans whom He made out of earth’s dirt and placed us in it, so that from it we could rule over His entire creation, He brought the full force of His righteous right arm to bear, for to Him we are His jewels, the most valuable of all that He has created. Psalm 98:1-2 “Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.” Science has it all backwards, they worship the creation rather than the Creator, who is forever blessed. Amen! So that before the Lord announces to the world the return of His Salvation, Jesus, who is coming to redeemed us, His human brethren, from the decay and corruption of this world that is passing, God will set the record straight once and for all, by shaking violently the heavens, the earth, and the underworld, everything that He created, as one who is removing the ingenuously designed wrapping on a present that He can hardly wait to open. Malachi 3:17 “They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, on the day that I make them my jewels. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.” I constantly hear the harpings of this world sages stating that if they find that life evolved and exists in another part of the universe, that it will be a transforming event, they do not spell it out, but what they are saying is that it will invalidate the Bible and what it teaches concerning God’s special creation of the human race. In order for a life supporting planet to exist, it needs to orbit a star, the closest star to our solar system is light years away, we have a better chance of growing wings and flying by just eating ducks, than we would ever have of interacting with anything that is a light year away. They think somehow, that if there is intelligent life in another planet somewhere, that it will prove the Bible wrong. But yet the Bible teaches that there is intelligent life elsewhere, they are called angels, they live in a spiritual/invisible realm, and they interact with earthlings all the time. They travel back and forth from the presence of God to the earth all the time, as ministering angels on God’s behalf to the human race. Hebrews 1:14 “Are they not all (the angels) ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” In our next lesson I will deal with the difference between the three dimensional physical realm where we humans live and the four-dimensional realm where the angels operate. As we continue to prepare ourselves for what might be a year of wonders. More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • COME NOW, AND LET US REASON TOGETHER | HoFM

Top of Page COME NOW, AND LET US REASON TOGETHER Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Life is a constant ending of things that previously began. I can safely say that every human that was born one hundred and fifty years ago is dead right now. And it would be a pretty safe bet to declare, that if Jesus does not return on the next one hundred and fifty years, that all humans who are alive today will also be dead then. What gives us humans the ability to transcend this cycle of life and death, is that we have been endowed with the capacity to reason, that is, to think outside of whatever current circumstance we are in, and imagine a life that not only lives, but thrives, outside of the perimeters that constantly hems us in, and that keep us bound to our present reality. Job 14:14 “If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait, till my change comes.” It is our God given ability to reason that allows us to believe a thought that is foreign to our present reality, that a divine change will one day come, a change that is both personal and general in nature. This change has to do with the question that Job poses, If a man dies, shall he live again? Personally speaking it asks, will I live again? And since all men have died and continue to die throughout the ages, generally speaking it asks, will the all live again as well, after the change has come? So that mortal man, unlike unreasoning animals, can picture in his mind a life of immortality, an idea so at odds with our human environment, that it has to originate from an Eternal God. We see that every culture, past or present, is intuitively knitted with an idea that in the natural is extremely foreign to man, the thought of immortality; yet in spite of such overwhelming evidence, the fact that humans throughout the ages have reasoned that which in the natural seems unreasonable, still, many nations and peoples refuse to acknowledge the fact that man was originally created for a divine purpose. Isaiah 1:2-3 “Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! For the Lord has spoken: I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against Me; The ox knows its owner and the donkey its master’s crib; but Israel does not know, My people (humans) do not consider (they have a willful lack of understanding).” It is humanly impossible to understand the times of the end without a reasonable understanding of the fact that a change must come. So let us ask the question, why is it a fact that a change must come? Humans were never destined to live in sin forever! Contrary to popular belief humans are not mortal, not before God, for to Him all live, that makes us humans immortal, and every human knows that intuitively. But before we can enter into immortality with God, our rebellious nature has to be disposed of, we must be made cleaned first, for our God is a holy God. In our opening verse God tells us that our sins are like a stain that has to be removed before we can enter into His eternal abode, that is also a foreign reasoning that comes to us directly from God. Have you ever bathed your dog only to see him run out and do a couple of rolls in the grass or dirt? Animals do not understand the concept of dirtiness or sin, only humans can relate to that concept; where does our ability to relate to filth and to sins comes from? Since we intuitively know that a change is coming, that leads us to believe that a preparation is necessary before we translate into that change, it comes natural. Without knowing, one that a change is coming, and two, that we must prepare ourselves for that change, we become like unreasoning animals that have no concept of eternity and end up dying in our sins. Isaiah 1:6 “From the sole of the foot even to the head, there is no soundness in it, but wounds and bruises and putrefying sores; they have not been closed or bound up, or soothed with ointment.” What makes us humans valuable to God is our ability to reason with Him, for if we understand Him, then we know what He expects from us, and what we can expect from Him, then we can make a reasonable choice to be and abide with Him as an act of our will, based on an intelligent decision made on the merits of the facts. With Him there is love, joy, peace, health, beauty, provision, eternal protection, happiness. Without Him there is nothing but eternal pain, sufferings, and sorrows, this is not brain surgery friends! Any half-witted reasoning will get us to make the right choice. Unless we are not willing to believe, which is the case in many instances, many will rather ignore sound reasoning for the temporary joy of rolling in the mud without guilt for a season. But if they really knew about eternity, and how much is really at stake, I doubt that any reasoning soul would be willing to risk an eternity of suffering for a few moments of frivolous carnal indulgence, I am, of course, speaking here about unsaved people. Isaiah 1:16-17 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.” For those of us who walk in the light of God’s salvation, we know that it is the precious blood of Jesus that turned our scarlet sins into snow white purity, and our crimson stain into precious white wool. We already believe in the resurrection from the dead and walk in the certainty that is, the age that is to come; so far this message has been a call that is aimed at the unbelievers, as I appealed to their ability to reason outside of carnal reasoning. Next I will bring into focus the role of the backsliders during the end times, those who already heard and believed the Gospel, but somehow have been dissuaded from following the plan of salvation that God has ordained for their lives. Isaiah 1:27-28 “Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and her penitents (returners) with righteousness. The destruction of transgressors and of sinners shall be together, and those who forsake the Lord shall be consumed.” There is nothing like a close call with death to get us back into the reality of life. That is why the end time, what the Bible calls the day of the Lord, will be such a frightful and terrifying event. Joel 2:1, 11 “Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of the Lord is coming, for it is at hand...The Lord gives voice before His army, for His camp is very great; for strong is the One who executes His word. For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; who can endure it?” Our redemption is going to be a messy business, for it will involve the beginning of the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners that get left behind, our redemption initiates God’s judgments against all those who forsake the Lord. The back sliders that repent (returners) in the face of the coming judgments, will be delivered with righteousness and kept out of the judgment. Those who have never believed and repent by calling on the name of the Lord, when confronted with the impending judgments, will also be delivered with righteousness, since they knew by instinct that a change was coming. Acts 2:19-21 “I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Someone cynically may ask, if we will know of His imminent return, then why don’t we just live like hell now and repent when the wonders and signs are revealed before His coming? Isaiah 1:15 “When you spread (pray) out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.” Do you know whose blood your hands would be full of? If you reasoned that God was going to put an end to our present reality some day by ushering in a change, and then decided that when and if that really happened, that you would just somehow get on board of the salvation train and repent. Don’t you know that by your act of selfishness, those who might have known what was revealed to you, will never get the opportunity for salvation that they could of have, had you been a faithful witness to them, instead of living it up in the world. By your false witness before them, their blood is now in your hands and tribulation is the only hope left for you. Matthew 24:5 “For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.” The world has been totally saturated with stories of ancient aliens visiting humans in the past, which is nothing more than doctrines of demons that aim to prepare the unbelieving world to reject our Lord and Savior when He is revealed, by portraying Him falsely; causing those who lack Biblical understanding to flee to the mountains and mourn at His revelation instead of calling on Him to save then. Revelation 1:7 “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.” Those of us who know the truth have been charged with the task of identifying the real Messiah at His appearing by our willingness and readiness to meet Him. 2 Timothy 4:8 “Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved (and are expectantly waiting for) His appearing.” Revelation 7:9-10 “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!’” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • THE APOSTOLIC ANOINTING | HoFM

Top of Page THE APOSTOLIC ANOINTING 2 Corinthians 12:12 “Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds.” There are five distinct offices to which ministers are called by God to fill, as they endeavor to minister to the saints, that differ from the call that all of us saints have to minister to the Lord by ministering to one another in service to one another, and by going out and preaching the Gospel and making disciples. Ephesians 4:11 “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.” A saint can choose to minister to the Lord in the many areas of service that are opened to us; we can choose to be witnesses for Him, we can choose to mentor new born again believers, we can choose to serve those who are in need within the church or outside of the church, we can choose to make our light show in whatever situation we choose. But there is a difference between let’s say, teaching others about the Word of God, which all of us should do, and being called to fill the office of teacher of the Word of God. The same goes for evangelizing, we can all go out and witness to others by telling them about their need to be saved, and all of us are called to do that, as it is written; Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, but we are not all called to fill the office of an evangelist. The same applies for pastors, caring and tending for the sheep is something that we are all called to do, but not all are called to fill the office of pastor. We are all in essence prophets every time that we quote the Word of God to others, for in reality we are prophesying to them by telling them that this is what God said, but not all are called to sit in the office of prophet. What is the difference? Let’s say that a terrible accident happens and somebody gets injured in a public place, the call immediately goes out, Is there a doctor in the house? At that point it does not matter what the doctor’s specialty is, all is needed is someone who is familiar with the human anatomy and who knows how to treat it, in the absence of a medical doctor even a dentist will do, even if the injury is on the foot, for all that is needed at that point is someone who can stop the bleeding and who can help to keep the injured person from dying. So that in the sense of ministry, we all should be general practitioners; when it comes to leading others to the Lord, we should all be prepared; when it comes to ministering to the needs of others, we should all be ready; when it comes to teaching them from God’s Word, all of us should know about the Scriptures that are able to save them. How do we learn all of that, and how do we prepare ourselves? Ephesians 4:12-13 “For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” The fivefold ministry and those who are called to sit in those offices, are charged with the solemn duty of preparing and training the saints of the church of God for the work of ministry. Since God knows the future, and since He also knows that the needs of man change along with their circumstances, He foresaw the need of having ministers in His church that understand that the Holy Spirit always moves to optimize the resources of the church in the manner in which it is most effective. So that His anointing flows through those offices to bring about the changes that are necessary, by revealing the counsel to the churches that will prepare them to overcome whatever situations they are facing, with a message that is specifically tailored for their area of ministry. A minister that sits in the office of pastor for example, will receive through the anointing that is in the office that he fills, the guidance that is needed to better fulfill his calling, as long as he remains faithful to the anointing by not turning away to man made schemes, those who sit under his ministry will benefit from the anointing that flows from that pastor’s ministry for the betterment of their service. In my many years of service to the Lord, I’ve witness great teachers and great pastors that flowed with the anointing, and marveled how the Lord’s wisdom was able to move in whatever situation those who were ministering were faced with, to the point of astonishment, as to how the Lord worked His way in whatever difficulty they were facing, and as I asked the Lord where their anointing emanated from, it was always revealed to me that the anointing flows out of the office they held. We sometimes make the mistake that because a pastor, a teacher, an evangelist, or a prophet that flows with the anointing that their respective offices enable them with, that because they excel at their specialty, that because of that, that we can also trust their counsel when it comes to an office that they do not hold, and for which their anointing has not prepared them. I’ve seen great teachers fail as pastors and great pastors fail at teaching, and I’ve seen some do fairly well as both, but I can always recognize where their true allegiance is by what they say, for you cannot take a true pastor out of leading the sheep, anymore than you can take a true teacher from him teaching the flock, or a true evangelist from having an altar call, and a true prophet from prophesying Thus says the Lord! But if the fivefold ministry were a hand, the apostles would be the thumb, for the other four are heavily dependent upon it in order to function properly. If we truly want to understand what preaching, teaching, evangelizing, and prophesying is all about, then we need to understand what the true apostolic ministry is all about. Ephesians 2:20 “Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone.” The church of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was not erected on a foundation of human philosophy, or out of a need for a human agency that exists for the betterment of society and the refinement of the masses that would somehow bring about a human utopia on this earth. 1 John 3:8 “...For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” Preaching, teaching, evangelizing, and prophesying that does not have the goal of destroying the works of the devil that flow out of the kingdom of darkness, misses the mark. The church was not put on this earth to conform to this world system, but to confront it, and expose it for what it is, the works of the devil. Jesus told us, I will build My church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Where did Jesus build His church? Right here on the earth! Where are the gates of hell? Right here on the earth! Any ministry, whether it falls under the office of pastor, teacher, evangelist, or prophet, if it does not have the destruction of the works of the devil as its main goal, then it is not flowing under the Holy Spirit’s anointing, for that was the very reason for which the church was established, to stand up against the gates of hell and to bring about the destruction of all the works of the devil through the power of the Holy Spirit’s anointing. Ephesians 3:10-11 “To the intent that now the manifold (fivefold ministry) wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.” This was always God’s plan for the church and will always continue to be; to challenge, to expose, to eradicate, and to destroy the works of Satan upon this earth! We are not here to mix and to mingle with other religions, Christianity is not a religion, Christianity is a kingdom, a kingdom that is not of this world, a kingdom that Jesus Christ, the King of kings is coming soon to establish, this should be the testimony of all Christian ministries. 1 Timothy 6:12-15 “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontious Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords.” In Matthew 27:11 Pilate asked Jesus, Are You the King of the Jews? Jesus said to him, It is as you say. Jesus did not, in anyway shape or form, dilute His testimony about who He was and what He came to do, even in the face of death, and while being confronted by His accusers. His testimony is the apostolic anointing upon which our faith rests, and from where all other ministerial offices draw of the true anointing. Is this the testimony that the ministry that your are under proclaims? If you are in ministry, is this the testimony of your ministry? If it is not, is it because of lack of knowledge or fear of persecution? Receive right now Paul’s prayer for you and for your ministry. Ephesians 3:17-19 “That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height (fourfold)—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • THE END OF DAYS | HoFM

Top of Page THE END OF DAYS Lamentations 4:18 “They tracked our steps so that we could not walk in our streets, our end was near; our days were over, for our end had come.” Throughout the history of mankind there has always been a group of people fascinated with the end of things, the end of days, and with the end of time. Maybe it is because we experience the death of things on a daily basis, we are not so much aware of it, those of us who live in modern cities that provide us with the comfort of buying things that have already been killed and packaged, but think back to earlier times. I remember when I was a kid growing up in Cuba, even though we lived over the ocean waters, for our house was built on stilts, we still raised chickens on the back deck of the house, and every time my mom was going to fix chicken for dinner one of them had to die. We kept live fish in the well tank of our boat that was tied to the front of the house, and every time that we were going to have fish for dinner, we went to the tank, got the fish out, killed it and cooked it. We did that with pigs and turkeys that we raised for special occasions as well, I even remember a goat that we raised once, it chewed through the wooden boards on the floor and fell through and ended up hanging itself on the chain that it had tied around its neck while its hind legs were dangling over the water. So that the experience of the cycles of life and death, beginning and endings, are well seated within our DNA. But how does the Bible define what we call the end of days, not just generally as of the end of the age, but our personal end as well? Psalm 39:4 “Lord, make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am.” David’s prayer gives us great insight as to why we humans are either fascinated, fearful, or willfully indifferent, to the awareness of the end of things as we know them. How many times are we reminded of our mortality? How many times do we ignore it? At the heart of David’s prayer was the cognitive reality that to ignore our personal mortality reduces our ability to prepare ourselves, and our posterity, for the end of the age that will one day come upon the final generation of humans that will live to see that day. David strongly implies that knowing about his personal mortality as well as the duration of his days while here on the earth, would make him more sensitive to the frailty of life. Now here is the implication, it is extremely hard for us humans to really value human life if we are not fully aware of the value of our own life. How do we react to news that a flood or a landslide killed hundreds of people on a far away distant land? First thought that comes to mind is, those things are always happening to those people out there. How do we react when a tragedy like that happens in our own neck of the woods? New York city is still three thousand miles from where I lived in September 11, 2001 and yet I felt, and I still feel, like I was right there when that tragedy happened. Now why is that? Because when we are personally affected by an event that causes many lives to perish, their death becomes more real to us. And that is the idea that Psalm 39 is trying to convey to us. Listen to what it was that caused David to ask God to give him the revelation of: Make me to know my end. Psalm 39:2-3 “I was mute with silence, I held my peace (became indifferent) even from good; and my sorrow was stirred up. My heart was hot within me; while I was musing (just thinking about it), the fire burned. Then I spoke with my tongue (took action).” Wow! What a powerful description of what moved him. First David said to himself, I am going to keep my mouth shut, I don’t care if it is good or bad, I’m just going to stay out of it. Isn’t that what so many of us do today? Society is going to hell in a hand basket all around us, so many are dying of drug overdose, so many others are shot dead on a daily basis, and well, we just feel so helpless that we tell ourselves to ignore it, for after all, there is nothing that we can really do about it, or so we feel. Then David said that his sorrow was stirred up, what was it that caused David’s sorrow to be moved? He said that while he was just sitting around thinking about the situation and doing nothing, the fire burned. There are two ways to interpret that, one is that while we sit around and muse and do nothing, the fire continuous to rage and consume all around us unopposed, inflicting a heavy toll on society. The other way to interpret that is, that while we are witnessing the heavy toll on life that our indifference is in some way aiding and abetting, it is what causes our inward fire to burn that moves us to do something. What David did was he prayed. Prayer is recognition that we ourselves are unable to change the situation by our own mortal means. It is amazing to me that David in his prayer did not ask God to give him strength to deal with the situation that he was too weak to handle, instead he asked God to reveal to him his weaknesses to the utter most, for this is what David say: That I may know how frail I am. This is so amazing, because it defies human logic. How is me knowing how weak in reality I really am is going to solve the situation? There is a Scripture parallel that applies here I believe, and it is found in the entire book of the prophet Habakkuk. Habakkuk 1:2-4 “O Lord, how long shall I cry, and You will not hear? Even cry out to You, ‘Violence!’ And you will not save. Why do you show me iniquity, and cause me to see trouble? For plundering and violence are before me; there is strife, and contention arises. Therefore the law is powerless, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; therefore perverse judgment proceeds.” Habakkuk was a righteous Israelite man who lived among the sinful people of the nation of Israel of that time. He is praying to God, and he is asking God why He is not answering his prayer, Habakkuk tells God that he is even pointing out the wrongdoing that he sees when he cries out publicly, Violence! Back in Bible days it was customary to cry out publicly, or to publish, when something bad was happening that could affect those around them. In the case of a leprous person having to pass near anyone else that was not infected with leprosy, the victims of leprosy were required by law to cry out loudly, Unclean! Unclean! To warn those around then not to come in close contact with them. In the same manner when a sin was being perpetrated against another in the nation of Israel, it was required of the Israelites to expose the wrong doing publicly, and that is what Habakkuk is saying to God he did, to no avail. Then Habakkuk says this to God: Why do you show me iniquity, and cause me to see trouble? Basically, Habakkuk is saying, Lord if You are not going to answer my prayer of action against lawlessness, why then do you allow me to witness so much evil? After all, if you do not answer my prayer, there is absolutely nothing that I can do about the wrong that is all around me. However, God is trying to teach Habakkuk what David already knew and was teaching us on Psalm 39. Habakkuk 1:5 “Look among the nations and watch—be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it was told you.” So, God takes the prophet Habakkuk into a vision of the near future and reveals to him what dreadful end the nation of Israel has coming because of all their sinfulness that they refused to repent from. Habakkuk is in shock when he witnesses first-hand what the utter devastation of all those around him will be. However what troubles him the most is the way in which God executes judgment on Israel. I guess Habakkuk expected some holy and righteous nation to be used by God to judge his faltering nation, but instead God uses a nation that is far worse, as far as sinfulness and cruelty is, than Israel ever was, to judge them. This is how God describes the nation that He will use to judge Israel for all their sinfulness that they have committed against Him. Habakkuk 1:7 “They are terrible and dreadful; their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves.” So that Habakkuk’s prayer changes in emphasis, instead of saying how bad the Israelites really are that lived all around him, now he is asking God how can you use a nation that is far worse than Israel could have ever been to judge us? And then this is what Habakkuk says: Habakkuk 2:1 “I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected.” Then God takes Habakkuk into a vision of the future end of days, when the entire earth, along with all the nations, will be judged by God for all their ungodly acts that they have committed against Him. The experience is so traumatic that Habakkuk finally realizes that the judgments of God for the end of days are so completely dreadful, that he now understands how frail human life truly is, and instead of feelings of inadequacy and helplessness, or complaining about all the wrong that was all around him, instead he realizes that the only hope for all humans lies in God’s mercy. Habakkuk 3:2 “O Lord, I have heard Your speech and was afraid; O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.” David’s prayer was: Make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am. Notice how the prayer of Habakkuk mirrors what the prayer of David was, Revive Your work in the midst of the (my) years. I believe that there are no humans that have ever experienced how dreadful the judgments of the end of days are, and who have not prayed this prayer in earnest: Dear Lord, IN THE DAY OF YOUR WRATH, REMEMBER MERCY! We are living in the midst of dire and difficult days, to say the least, for lawlessness and perversion are rampant everywhere we look. But let our prayer emphasis change from, God look at all the evil that is all around us, when are You going to judge it? To the New Testament revelation that says, the more that sins abo unds, the more that the grace of God abounds. Let us see what is going on all around us as an opportunity to usher in the grace of God. And we can pray that prayer "in wrath remember mercy" sincerely, only if we have felt the heart of God in this matter. For our God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. That is why Jesus went to the cross. • THE FOUL SPIRIT OF HATE | HoFM

Top of Page THE FOUL SPIRIT OF HATE Revelation 18:2 “And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, ‘Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!’” If there is a word that conjures up strong emotions when spoken, it has to be the word hate. I can even picture a human face contorting as it utters that word. It is almost like one cannot even say the words, I hate you, without the display of an outburst of emotions attached to them. Since spirits manifest themselves as influences through persons, it is only natural that a spirit of hate would manifest itself through a person with such a display of emotion. I guess I should explain how I believe unclean spirits operate through persons, for those of you reading this that may not have heard of this teaching before, so that we can all be on the same page, here it is. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” As you may know, the New Testament was written in the Greek language which has a lot more words to express meaning and sentiment than the English language does. Every now and then we have to look at Scriptures as they were written in the original language to get the full meaning of what is teaching. This is one of those cases. In the original Greek, the word translated spirit is the word: Pnyoomah: # 4151 in Strong’s concordance, and it means Breath, as in a blast or a current of air and is translated as the word spirit. For in the Greek, spirits are referred to as breath or air, but in this case it refers to a specific form of breath, a blast or a current of air. Pnyoomah is the Greek word from where we get the term pneumatic as in pneumatic tools, which are tools that run on blast or currents of air. In the original Greek, the word translated soul is the word: Phookhay: # 5590 in Strong’s concordance, and it also means Breath, but by implication, static air, and is translated as the word soul. To get a better understanding of how the spirit and the soul work together to give us our personality, let us go to the first created human. Genesis 2:7 “And the Lord God formed man (the physical body) of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath (the human spirit) of life; and man became a living being (soul, personhood).” If we want to understand how spirits can move the physical body, here is what I believe are the mechanics of how it works: The human spirit is like the energy, the blast or the current of energy like in a pneumatic tool, that moves the soul, that in turn gives to us our personalities, the person that we become. The human spirit is not self-sufficient, so it has to derive energy from sources outside of itself. Our spirit man was originally designed to receive energy from the Word of God and derive its human personality from it, that is to drive the soul into becoming what the Word of God intended for that person to be. Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living (Zoe in the Greek, and it means life giving and life sustaining) and powerful (Energea in the Greek, and it means moving energy)…” Take for example the word influence, it describes the spiritual inflow that motivates people to do things, an influence is a spirit, and if the influence contradicts the Word of God, is an unclean spirit. Another example is the word inspire, when a person dies, that person expired, it means the spirit of life left them. When a person is inspired, it is a spirit who is doing the inspiration, and if such inspiration contradicts the Word of God, it is also designated as an unclean spirit. Now we were all born after the flesh, so like Adam we all have the propensities within us to fear and to doubt, and to feel shame and nakedness because of our sinful natures. But in the new birth we become a new creation, a brand-new creature. 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” We are not beholden to the old nature any longer. But we still have to make a choice, and it has to do with which spirits are we going to allow to influence us, and are we going to filter those influences through the sift of the Word of God. Here is another example; as new creatures in Christ, all of our sins have been forgiven, we are not to walk in the fear of eternal torment any longer, but in the power of God’s love for us, and rejoice that in Christ, we have the mind of Christ, which is a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Now that we understand the process let us shift our attention to the spirit of hate, which is the culprit for the majority of the chaos going on around the world today. For hatred is the strongman of these last days. I believe that the three most powerful human emotions are: Love, hate, and fear. According to Paul God has not given us the spirit of fear, but He has indeed given to us His Spirit of love. However, the spirit of a sound mind is necessary to keep us from falling prey to the foul spirit of hate, especially in these last days. Harboring the spirit of hatred can lead to the insurrection of the soul. Psalm 64:2 “Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity.” KJV Insurrection is revolt from within, and since the workers of iniquity still reside within our souls which are still in the process of salvation, what it means is that our human nature can be led into rebelling against the commandments that flow from God into our spirit man. Just like the love of God nullifies the spirit of fear, the spirit of a sound mind can help us put away the spirit of hatred. First let us identify which type of hatred we are dealing with as the Day of our redemption draws near. Psalm 25:19 “Consider my enemies, for they are many; and they hate me with cruel (violent) hatred.” All you have to do to know that this is the type of hatred that we are dealing with today, just search the news and see how many believers are beheaded, tortured, burned alive, and struck down for their faith in Jesus Christ all around the world on a daily basis. In the more civilized parts of the world, where still some common sense restrains it, the violence from this spirit of hatred is more verbal in nature, but the sentiments are the same. If you are a believer in the morality that the Word of God commands for societies to follow, you are considered the scum of the earth, and it won’t be long before this sprit of hatred rears its nature of violence against those of us who believe here in the western nations as well. What feeds this spirit of cruel hatred is the spirit of division that is continuously propagated by the mediums of today, the news organizations that do not barter in the truth that they were originally established to proclaim, but rather in incitement and propaganda against the dictates of God’s Word. Ezekiel 25:15 “...Took vengeance with a spiteful heart, to destroy (through violent means) because of the old hatred (perpetual).” I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but all the hatred that is being fomented right now by many, has its roots in old hatred, that is, they are trying to revive past grievances, but in reality it is nothing more than Satan’s perpetual hatred against those of us who belong to God. Proverbs 10:12 “Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all sins.” Now the reason I am bringing all these things up is to warn you, and to keep you from falling into the demonic trap of repaying evil with evil. As I look at what is happening from a spiritual perspective, the devil is playing mankind as a well-rehearsed orchestra. Everything out there is designed to bring up strife within the hearts of people with common sense. I see the frustration that many are having to endure, for it seems that what is evil and destructive has become the acceptable norm, and what is sound and good judgment is ridiculed. But we need to keep in mind that what they are doing, they are doing it purposely, they do not need to convince those who have swallow their lies hook line and sinker to follow in their destructive ways. It is us that need to be neutralized, from their point of view that is, those of us who believe in the power of God’s love to inspire and to motivate our actions. And the way to neutralize us is to have us fall for the tricks of the cruel spirit of hatred and become like them. Proverbs 13:21 “Evil pursues sinners, but to the righteous, good shall be repaid.” Please my friends I know that it is not easy, not to become upset over the lies and the deception that they seem to be getting away with these days, without seemly any repercussions, let God deal with their actions. Make every effort not to get caught up in their web of cruel hatred and bad intentions. Let God’s love fill us with His peace, and deliver us from the snares of the wicked one. Let not our hearts backslide from His love. Proverbs 14:14 “The backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways, but a good man will be satisfied from above.” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • THE LORD IS RIGHTEOUS, GRACIOUS, AND NEA | HoFM

THE LORD IS RIGHTEOUS, GRACIOUS, AND NEAR Psalm 145:17-18 “The Lord is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works. The Lord is near to all who call u pon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.” King David begins Psalm 145 with a shout of praise to God. It is interesting that David addresses Him as my God, O King; let’s take a look at how David begins this Psalm of adoration. Psalm 145:1 “I will extol (praise) You, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name forever and ever.” It takes a king to understand the difficulties of fairly and justly ruling over a kingdom. This Psalm can be read from the perspective of a testimonial that David, as a human king who understood the difficulties of ruling and reigning over flawed humans, bestowed upon our God the Creator, who is also the Great ruling King over all mankind. In our opening text, David makes three key points that underline the qualities with which God rules as King over His creation. First David says of God’s rule: The Lord is righteous in all His ways. Coming from any of us, that statement would not carry as much weight as it does coming from an earthly king who ruled over God’s people for forty years. If you have ever been in a position of leadership, you know how difficult it is to make decisions that affect a group of people and really say to yourself that such decision would be accepted as the perfect choice by everyone involved. As any true leader will tell you, you can’t please everyone, as I’m sure David knew that very well, but yet He says of God our King, that He is righteous in all His ways. Why is this fact so important, that God’s rule is always perfect? Doubt is the opposite of faith, and without faith it is impossible to please God, so that if we are doubting the righteousness of God on any situation that we face, we put ourselves at a disadvantage, and by doing so we forfeit the blessings that are offered to us within His kingdom. Psalm 145:5 “I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on (the words of) Your wondrous works.” Meditating is the process of slowly ingesting and digesting information, in David’s case he was meditating not only on what God had promised him, but also in what God had already accomplished in his life as well. In the early struggles of my walk by faith journey, I remember at times feeling abandoned by the Lord just because certain things did not work out the way that I expected them to work out, and I remember the words of encouragement that Jesus would always send my way, I did not bring you out this far just to let you go! Psalm 145:19 “He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.” I soon realized that in our walk of faith we have to learn how to walk in what the Bible calls the fear of the Lord before He will hear our cry for help, in other words we have to learn how to respect the way that His kingdom operates, which is by faith. Oh, the innocence of those times! One of my first lessons in hearing from the Lord occurred as I was driving from the Orange County area in California where I lived at the time, to the San Fernando Valley area to get pay from my labor as a painting contractor, for that was where the office was located that I had done the work for. Immediately as I started driving towards the office I felt the Lord impressing on me that I was to go someplace and pray after I left the office, so when I picked up the check I said to the Lord, where do you want me to go and pray Lord? Of course I heard nothing back, but since I was sure He had spoken to me earlier, I proceeded through a mountain road down to the coast where the Malibu area is located, for I figured that the mountain or the beach would be a good place to stop and pray. I still felt nothing, so I continued down the coast to the South Bay area of Los Angeles hoping to hear from the Lord as to where I was supposed to stop and pray, about two hours had elapsed and nothing, the church that we attended was in the port area of Los Angeles so I thought that God wanted me to go to the church and pray there, so that was where I headed, when I got over there, the Christian school was having an event in the auditorium, so praying there was out of the question. As I walked through the parking lot to get in my car and finally drive home, someone flagged me down, a church member and his wife had just gotten real bad news and asked me if I would pray with them over the situation that they were facing. I told them of my ordeal just to find out where I was supposed to go and pray, and it encouraged them so much that God had sent someone to pray for them before they even got the bad news, that their faith was made strong enough to overcome their situation. I realized there and then that God always has a perfect plan for everything that He does, and that all that is required of us is to remain faithful, for if we do not give up, we will not only have the victory over whatever situation we are facing, but in time we will understand how perfect and marvelous God’s ways are. Psalm 145:6 “Men shall speak (as I just did) of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness.” I learned then, and continue to learn now, that the Lord is righteous in all His ways, whether I understand them or not, after all it is said and done the fact that the Lord is righteous in all His ways will be revealed to all the saints and will be acknowledged by them. Psalm 145:10 “All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, and Your saints shall bless You.” Secondly, David said about God’s rule that the Lord is: Gracious in all His works! Psalm 97:2 “Clouds and darkness surrounds Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.” All the works of God are perfect, and since we forfeited our perfection when Adam sinned, the justice of God has to be satisfied, that is why Jesus had to die on the cross for our sins, to satisfy the righteous demands of justice. So that all of the works of God on behalf of mankind are all founded on His grace, as David also acknowledged. Psalm 145:8-9 “The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.” In Bible days a king ruled supreme, the words that came out of his mouth were the law, anyone who trespassed against the king’s edicts faced sure death unless the king pardoned their transgression by offering them his mercy. David understood the principles of mercy, because from his ruling position he also understood that the righteousness of God required perfection, something that no human had, that is also why the Messiah had to be all human and all perfect. Thirdly, David said about God’s rule that: The Lord is near to all who call on Him! Imagine that, in the natural, the more responsibility that a person in leadership has the more difficult it is for people to get near them, for their time becomes that much more valuable, so that we usually have to deal with the underlings of those who exercise great authority, but not so with our King, He can meet alone with everyone of His subjects at the same time and in different places, because our King is also God. Psalm 145:13 “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations.” And unlike our present world system where the lower that we are in the societal spectrum, the more difficult it is for us to reach those who are in authority, with our Eternal King is the opposite. Psalm 145:14 “The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down.” No wonder David was praising God with such great exuberance, for what he is saying in this Psalm is that there is no god like our God. Psalm 145:3 “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable (beyond our understanding).” So that it is always by faith; our righteousness comes by faith in His Word, our dealings with Him are always based on our faith of His gracious works toward us, and by faith we know that He is always near to us, for we know that He will never leave us nor forsake us. And that’s the truth, so let us call upon Him in truth, for He hears us. More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings
