Top of Page Top of Page EVERY KNEE Written by Lisa Kane 5/23/21 1 Kings 19:18 NKJV 18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.” Submission affects your daily walk with God and you need to ask yourself, who is your knee (submission) bowing to? As you can see from 1 Kings 19:18 that God ‘prevented’ seven thousand in Israel from submitting unto King Ahab and Jezebel’s ‘government’ rule during that time, and Elijah, a prophet of God didn’t know that God reserved seven thousand. Yes, those of us close to God don’t know all of whom and what God has preserved. 1 Kings 18:22 NKJV 22 Then Elijah said to the people, “I alone am left a prophet of the Lord; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. Again, Eljah thought he was alone. Are you a believer who dwells in the secret place and feel like you’re the only one praying out there? You can trust God and know that there are many others out there praying too. If there weren’t, you can read in the Bible about the generation before Noah’s flood (Genesis 6:5), and Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19). This entire world would already be destroyed otherwise. Thank God people are believing and praying. And since we’re here, it means there are believers who are praying or who have not submitted their knee unto the darkness of this world. If you’re reading this and you’re not one of those believers/prayers set aside by God, you need to thank God for those that are. Then you need to ask yourself why are you not praying? Who’s knee are you bowing down to? Where does your submission lie? Because you can easily be one of those set aside by God. Eljah had power because he did not submit unto the demonic entity called Baal like four hundred and fifty other prophets did. Baal ruled the government at that time. I don’t know what dark demonic entity is ruling our government today, but when there are more homelessness, more drug addicts, more murders, more abortion, more evil than good, it’s an evil darkness that’s currently ruling our government. I can assure you that if you do not have power in your walk during this darkness, maybe your knee is bowing to Baal or some other entity and you don’t know it? Or maybe you know it. I have news for you that do know, your knee must submit unto Jesus! Hallelujah! But if you don’t know, maybe you voted for someone who is lying to you and supporting something like abortion. God hate’s abortion. That’s murdering innocent blood and through that deception, you support this evil entity. But there’s good news for you , God is merciful and as long as you ask for forgiveness, you will be delivered/saved. But here's something to know, even if you kept your knee bowed to anything other than God, your knee will eventually bow down to God: Isaiah 45:23 NKJV 23 I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return, That to Me every knee shall bow, Every tongue shall take an oath. Romans 14:11 NKJV 11 For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.” Philippians 2:10 NKJV 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, Why is it important to place your knee directly before God and not through other entities, such as governments, principalities, trust in other people, etc? You are at war and you are responsible for holding back the power of darkness. How do I know this? Because you were given the name of Jesus and by that name, ‘every knew should bow’. Keyword – SHOULD ! When they’re not, that means you’re not using your authority. Let’s identify those areas of darkness that you have the authority over as a believer in Christ who has asked God to forgive his or herself. Ephesians 6:12-13 NKJV 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [a ]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. When you don’t bow your knee to others, and you bow your knee to Jesus, you have authority direct from the name of Jesus and can overcome governments, principalities and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. Yes, you have the authority to do this in Jesus’ name. You become a part of God’s army and you can affect the outcome of this world’s governments and powers. This world’s powers are darkness and you are the light in God’s army. Read Philippians 2:10 again and pay attention. Philippians 2:10 NKJV 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, ‘ at the name of Jesus’: when you are bowed before Jesus, you have the authority to say His name and have the authority to place ‘those in heaven, ‘those on earth’, and ‘those under the earth’ to ‘bow’ before His name. Those things must submit to God. So once you say it out loud, calling out those entities and telling them to bow before God, ‘STAND’. Place a smile on your face and wait for God to move. Because that darkness must submit. Realize this, God is training you for warfare. Start learning. Start using His Name. The Holy Spirit will teach you and it starts with you placing your knee before God and submitting unto Jesus. Once you do that, you come into your authority of His name and the darkness must submit unto you when you use His name Jesus! I’m standing now. Will you tell darkness to bow itself to Jesus? Once you do, we’ll be standing together. Take these steps and let’s stand together! HALLELUJAH! More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings
- FACTS AND ACTS | HoFM
Top of Page FACTS AND ACTS Luke 1:46-47 “And Mary said: ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.’” After receiving the great news that she was going to be the mother of the Son of the Highest, Mary sang a song of worship and adoration to God. Notice how her song begins with her soul and spirit responding to the great news of being chosen by God for this great honor. I want you to notice the difference between her soul and her spirit, and how different her soul and her spirit reacted to the same great news. I believe that we can get great insight here between their interactions. Notice how her soul responded, my soul magnifies, that is an act of her will. While her spirit stated a fact, my spirit has rejoiced in what I was told. So that by nature our souls act and react, while our spirits put the emphasis on the facts as they are revealed to us. Psalm 9:1-2 “I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart (spirit and soul); I will tell of all Your marvelous works (facts). I (David’s spirit speaking) will be glad and rejoice in You (a matter of fact); I will sing praise to Your name (David’s soul acting on the facts), O Most High.” It may seem a little difficult at first, but if we consciously try to discern the difference between the spirit and the soul speaking, we can learn a great deal more from the narrative that we are reading. We can do that while reading Scripture; we can also try to discern while we are communing with Jesus in prayer, if it is our spirit who is leading the conversation with Him, or if it is our soul that is doing the talking. The issue here is faith; if our soul’s nature is to respond or act to the facts that it receives, and since our spirits by nature deal with the basics of the facts that are revealed to them, being trained in the art of knowing the one from the other can make all the difference in a time of crises or during the times when the Lord gives to us great spiritual revelation. Luke 1:38 “Then Mary said, ‘Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.’ And the angel departed from her.” Notice how it was Mary’s spirit who responded to the angel, Let it be to me according to your word, the fact of what was promised to her. Luke 1:37 “For with God nothing will be impossible.” Mary spoke through her spirit the fact that she believed everything that she was told—and accepted it as fact—and as soon as she did that, the angel left, the matter was closed. Notice the difference between Mary’s response to the angel, and the response of Zacharias, the father to be of John the Baptist, when he was given the great news that he would be given a son who will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God: Luke 1:18 “And Zacharias said to the angel, ‘How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years.’” Zacharias was reacting to the fact of his condition and the age of his wife, instead of reacting to the fact that an angel was giving him a promise from God Himself, the God who cannot lie. His soul naturally responded to the limiting facts that he was surrounded with in the physical realm. Had he been spiritually minded—focused in the promises contained in the Word of God, he would, like Mary, rejoice in the fact that a messenger from God was talking to him, and he would have consented immediately. Luke 1:19 “And the angel answered and said to him, I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings.’” God’s will was done anyway, for God’s plans cannot be thwarted by a man’s lack of faith, but Zacharias was unable to speak until he named his son John according to the command of the angel Gabriel. Luke 1:20 “But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time.” It makes me wonder how many times I missed on realizing a promise from God, because I let my soul respond through the prism of the circumstances that surrounded me at that time, instead of letting my spirit rejoice in the fact that the One who was giving me His promise can never lie, and always fulfills what He promises to those who believe Him. We can see the effects of this duality. If what God has promised us is a vital part of our Christian walk, we will receive it in their own time, but because of our lack of faith at the time that the promise was given, our abilities will be hindered until what was promised is realized. The other part is, that if what was promised was not a vital part of our Christian walk, we will forfeit it and will have to do without it, until we learn to trust and rejoice in the fact that a promise from the Word of God deserves to be magnified within our souls, based on the fact that He who promised is faithful, no matter what the circumstances around us dictate. Let us remember that as believers, we are all disciples, and as such, we are always learning how to truly follow Jesus. There is redemption, so we should not let what we failed to receive in the past, keep us from receiving what our Lord has for us in the now. Luke 1:68-69 “Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, for He has visited and redeemed His people, and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David.” As soon as Zacharias named his son John, according to the word that the angel gave him, he was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied about God’s redemption and salvation, which are the facts and the acts of Christianity. Let us take a sober look today at the facts on which our faith is founded, for they will determine how our soul will act and react, when faced with the unrelenting accusations and distortions against the Word of God that those of us who put our trust in it and its promises have to face daily. Luke 1:70 “As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets, who have been since the world began.” Do you believe that Adam was created or that man evolved? God’s prophets have been since the world began, and they tell us not only that Adam was created, but how and why he was created, and how he was driven out from Paradise after the fall. If you’ve fallen for the perverting influence of the theory of evolution, you have lost the facts, and have lost the will to act spiritually. The only expectation that you are left with after denying the facts, is to react and be driven by the ever changing winds of conformity to this world’s system. If man evolved, then he is not a fallen creature; if he is not a fallen creature, then he does not need to be redeemed. If man does not need to be redeemed, then Jesus came and died for nothing. Don’t you see the demonic connections? It is all about separating you from the only One who can save you from all your sins. Jesus told us that His Words are Spirit and that they are Truth, based on the fact that He is the Word of God who came in the flesh. If at any time you deny the veracity of the Word of God, you also deny the deity of Jesus and the redemptive power of the blood of Jesus, for they are one and the same—these are the facts that act upon our souls, for either good or bad. Luke 1:72 “To perform the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant.” A covenant is a will, a promise to act on behalf of a fact—that fact being that after the fall of Adam, man was in dire need of God’s mercy, which God promised us that He would bring at His appointed time. Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God? If you believe that Jesus was just a good man, the son of Joseph, and that there were no angels talking with Mary and the others, and that Mary did not miraculously conceive Him by the power of the Holy Spirit, then you are still in your sins and are lost, that is the devil’s goal for your life. Here is a fact—that once acknowledged—will require immediate action on the part of those who have been deceived by the devil. Luke 1:77 “To give knowledge of salvation to His people by the remission of their sins.” Jesus did not stay a baby in a manger, He did not come into this world so that we could have presents on Christmas day. He grew up into a man, condemned the world of sin, then paid the penalty for all our sins by dying on an old rugged cross. He rose from the dead on the third day, after showing Himself to many, He was taken up to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God, making intercession for us, that we may come into the enlightening truth of the facts of who He really is and what He came to do. Luke 1:79 “To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.” Here is a fact that should cause all of us to act: Jesus is coming back soon, but this time He is coming to judge all those who failed to receive His free offer of salvation, and to deliver out of this world those of us who have believed in Him, and have trusted in His Word. Acts 1:11 “Who also said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.’” We have a clear choice, we can choose to act in response to the fact of the work of salvation that Jesus accomplished on our behalf, or we can ignore the facts and act to fulfill our fleeting selfish desires and be lost forever and ever. That sounds like a no brainer, but it all depends on where you get your facts from. Here is one last fact for this lesson: Psalm 119:89 “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.” The advantage of getting our facts from the Word of God, is that it never changes, and it shall never pass away. Every act of ours that is based in our love and desire for the Word of God to be the foundation for our lives, will never be forgotten either. My soul magnifies the Lord, while my spirit is rejoicing in the fact that He loves me, and that He has redeemed my life from the pit! Behold, He is coming quickly, and every eye shall see Him! Top of Page Top of Page THE MANUAL FOR PERSONAL MINISTRY Written by Pastor Marcos Marrero Published 1.18.2010 This is a sampling of the free manual called Manual for Personal Ministry. You can read the free manual here . Introduction Minister: To give aid: Serve. This manual is designed to teach Christian ministers how to give aid to those in need, and to provide the tools necessary to properly administer the biblical principles of becoming a servant as recorded by Matthew. Matthew 28:1920 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” And viewed from the ambassadorship angle, since we are emissaries of His peace. 2 Corinthians 5:18 “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:” NIV The principles that we will teach here, are to be applied first of all to oneself (you cannot give that which you do not possess), and then to others. Once you have received the Lord’s aid, then Lord will bring to you those in need for you to aid. Here is a basic but powerful outline of the ministry to which we are called. Matthew 10:8 “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” Continue here to read the book for free Click here for more free books More Teachings Found Here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings
- PRAY FOR ME | HoFM
Top of Page Top of Page PRAY FOR ME Written by Minister Lisa Kane 12.31.23 SAY THIS PRAYER OUT LOUD: Mighty Heavenly Father, I lift up myself to Your throne room and I forgive me of my iniquities, the sins I have committed, the curses against me, the curses spoken from me, and the sins of the land I walk on; and I ask You heavenly Father to forgive me well per Matthew 6:14 KJV “14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:” Demons, loose me in the Name of Jesus the Son of the living God, the Lord rebuke you per Jude 1:9 “9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.” I bind you with fetters of iron to the iron below my feet here on earth preventing you from interfering in me or my life ever again per Matthew 16:19 KJV “19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” And per Psalm 149:6-9 KJV “6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.” And Heavenly Father, I bless me with a softened heart to be able to perceive and live by Your Word because even you showed the disciples how hard their hearts were when they didn’t believe when You rose from the dead: Mark 16:14 KJV “14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.” I also bless me with a spirit of reconciliation because that is the ministry You have given us. Let the spirit of God move forth in me to forgive and reconcile my life back to Jesus, the Son of God as Paul states in 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 KJV “18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” I pray for me to be restored into the joy of salvation, and to the paths of righteousness as the following scriptures state: Psalm 23:3 KJV “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” Psalm 51:12 KJV “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” I pray that the fruit of the spirit stated in Galatians 5:22-23 KJV “22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” manifests within my heart. I pray that the gifts of the holy spirit stated in 1 Corinthians 12:7-12 KJV “7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.” would unite the body of Christ under one leadership, the Holy Spirit and that the Spirit of God move through me so that I know what to pray, how to pray, when to pray, and praise the living God in all that we do. And gracious Heavenly Father, we praise You as Psalm 150:1-6 KJV says “150 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” You are praised because You are. I now walk forward in peace knowing that You and Your angels are moving behind the scenes doing what You need to do to accomplish Your will as Psalm 103:20 KJV says “20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.” In the Name of Jesus, the Son of the living God, Amen! - COVENANT PRAYER FOR THE INTER... | HoFM
Top of Page Top of Page COVENANT PRAYER FOR THE INTERCESSOR SAY THIS OUT LOUD: This prayer is based on Daniel’s intercession for Israel and has been modified (brackets) for our present day intercession. Daniel 9:2-19 “In the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the LORD given to (Joel the prophet, that in the last days You would pour out of your spirit on all flesh) Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years. So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes. I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed: O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with all who love him and obey his commands, we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. Lord, you are righteous, but this day we are covered with shame (no dominion power) the men of (our communities) Judah and people of (our churches) Jerusalem and all (our nation) Israel, both near and far, in all the countries where you have scattered us because of our unfaithfulness to you. O LORD, we and our kings, our princes and our fathers are covered with shame because we have sinned against you. The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him; we have not obeyed the LORD our God or kept the laws he gave us through his servants the prophets. All (your church) Israel has transgressed your law and turned away, refusing to obey you. Therefore the curses and sworn judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against you. You have fulfilled the words spoken against us and against our rulers by bringing upon us great disaster. Under the whole heaven nothing has ever been done like what has been done to (in our present situation) Jerusalem. Just as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us, yet we have not sought the favor of the LORD our God by turning from our sins and giving attention to your truth. The LORD did not hesitate to bring the disaster upon us, for the LORD our God is righteous in everything he does; yet we have not obeyed him. Now, O Lord our God, who (saved us) brought your people out of Egypt with a mighty hand and who made for yourself a name that endures to this day, we have sinned, we have done wrong. O Lord, in keeping with all your righteous acts, turn away your anger and your wrath from (us your church) Jerusalem, your city, your holy hill. Our sins and the iniquities of our fathers have made Jerusalem and your people an object of scorn to all those around us. Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, O Lord, look with favor on your desolate sanctuary. Give ear, O God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city (church) that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy. O Lord, listen! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hear and act! For your sake, O my God, do not delay, because your (church) city and your people (Christians) bear your Name.” Psalm 119:126 “It is time for you to act, O LORD; your law is being broken.” AMEN! - I GIVE YOU AUTHORITY | HoFM House of Faith Ministries
I GIVE YOU AUTHORITY Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” In our last lesson we dealt with this subject title, The Entirety of Your Word is Truth. In today’s lesson we are going to deal with the authority that has been given to us in the entirety of God's Word to trample down over all the power of the enemy. If you read the King James version of our opening text, you will find that the word authority is translated as power, even though it is a different word in the original Greek than the other word translated power in the same verse, over all the power of the enemy. Fortunately for us the New King James version gets the translation right, but I want to focus our attention in this lesson on the interactions between power and authority, for it is vital for us to understand the differences if we want to operate in the entirety of the Word of God. Exooseeah: Authority, from Strongs concordance # 1849. Doonamis: Power, from Strongs concordance # 1411. Now let us take a look at another verse of Scripture in the New King James version, where in the original text the word is Exooseeah, but they still translate it with the word power instead of authority. Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers (Exooseeah in the original text), against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” To us it almost seems like authority and power are synonymous, but from the perspective of Scripture they are very different in practice and application, because they derive their intent from two different sources. If we look at the word authority in Webster’s dictionary this is their first and second rendering of its meaning. Authority: 1, A fact or statement used to support a position. 2, The right to give commands and the power to enforce obedience. From the biblical perspective, all authority originates from the Word of God, and it is the Word of God that authorizes us to take and to support a position that declares the facts that the Word of God proclaims, as stated in the opening text of our last lesson. Psalm 119:160 “The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.” It is also from the authority of the Word of God that we receive the right to give commands from the Word of Truth that trump all the power of the enemy and allows us to enforce obedience. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Let us look at it from a natural perspective; let’s say that a police officer stops you while you are driving, he can only ask of you that which the written law requires us to have, a drivers license, a registration, and proof of insurance. He must have a reason for pulling you over, that is also required of him by the written law. And if he finds that you are in violation of the law, he will give you a citation to appear before a magistrate, the code that he alleges that you have violated must be written on the citation with a brief explanation of what it is; failure to stop at a red light, etcetera. A policeman cannot stop you because he does not like the color of your car, or for any personal reason on his part, if he does, he himself becomes a law breaker, for he is as much under the law as we are. So that all authority comes from the written code. In the spiritual realm, the devil cannot bring an accusation against any human unless that person has first violated God’s written code. Proverbs 26:2 “Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, so a curse without cause shall not alight.” Curse means ill will words, and they can only be activated against those who have been found in violation of God’s blessed Word. The devil cannot afflict a soul without permission, for he has to bring an accusation first against a human who has violated God’s Word, and then it is up to God who is the High Magistrate who rules over His own Word to cast the final decision. Since we all sin and fall short of God’s glorious law, the devil is very busy hurdling accusations against us day and night, so God gave us an Advocate to plead our case, Jesus Christ His own Son. Romans 7:6 “But now, by dying to what once bound us (the written code), we have been released from the law so that we can serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.” NIV So that Jesus by dying for our sins has given to those of us who accept His propitiation for sin—immunity from the written code—so that we can become servants of the Most High God and ministers of His Word. All authority comes from the written code, even the authority to become enforcers of it, which brings us to the other word, Doonamis power. We cannot become enforcers of God’s power until we become one with His authority, and we cannot become one with His authority until we become one with the entirety of His Word. That does not mean that we know everything in the entire Word of God, but that we acknowledge that the entire Word of God is the seat of all authority and the final arbiter on any matter. When we think that something is right and after finding out from the Word of God that it is not, we proceed immediately to change our previous perception and accept God’s ordinances as settled law. John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word (Logos, in all three instances) was God.” Just like there is authority and that there is power, and that both of them derive their function from God’s Word, there are also two different Greek words that are used for the word, word, and the difference I believe, brings more clarity into the functions of authority and power and their interactions. Matthew 18:16 “But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word (Hraymah) may be established.” Logos: Thought, from Strongs concordance # 3056. Hraymah: Utterance, from Strongs concordance # 4487. Let us see if we can make a connection, the Greek word used for In the beginning was the Word, is Logos, and it means Thought, Idea, and it encompasses volume and unity, like vast amounts of water in a reservoir waiting to be tapped. We can think of the law that way, a vast amount of ordinances waiting for a law scholar to skillfully apply them. The other Greek word translated word is Hraymah and it means Utterances, as in words that flow, meaning that they are released from the passive into a flowing action. This is really not that complicated, stay with me a minute and let me explain the beauty of how it all comes together and works. If you are driving over the posted speed limit, you are in violation of the written code, but if there is no one present who is authorized to enforce the written code you are not penalized. Even though there may be many present who can bear witness that you are in violation of the law. When Jesus told us that He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy, He authorized us to enforce the written code, God’s Word against the devil and his minions, but that authority has to be exercised on our part, turned into power—no body else is going to do it for us. Psalm 149:6-9 “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand (God’s Logo-Word), to execute vengeance (Hraymah, the utterances of God) on the nations, and punishments on the peoples (demonic hierarchies); to bind their kings (strong man) with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute on them the written judgment—this honor have all His saints.” God has delivered us from the written code that once bound us, and made us His saints, that is, he has given us authority over our accusers, and since that authority is ours to execute His written Word over our enemies, then it is up to us to release the utterances that crushes the enemy and all his accusations against us. If we are accused of sin by the devil, we unleash the power of God’s Word of authority against him immediately. 1 John 3:6 “Whoever abides in Him does not sin…” If we are accused of pride by the devil, we unleash the power of God’s Word of authority against him immediately. 1 John 1:8-9 “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” The authority that Jesus gave us over our enemy, places us far above our enemies condemnation, and he does not get to set the standards against us any longer. Romans 8:33 “Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect (those whom God has declared holy)? It is God who justifies.” And the power that Jesus gave to us, for us to exercise over our enemies, flows out of the Spirit of God working within us, that loudly proclaims to all creation that we are holy to the Lord! The Logos, God’s Word, gives us the authority, and the Hraymah, power, flows out of the utterances that comes out of our mouth when we by faith proclaim and enforce the Living Word of God.
