CHILDREN AND THE RAPTURE

rapture

In Daniel 9:24, God through His holy angel Gabriel reveals to Daniel the prophet what through man’s perspective can only be described as a Doomsday Clock.

Daniel 9:24 “Seventy weeks (490 years total) are determined for your people (Israel) and for your holy city (Jerusalem), to finish transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.” (Parenthesis, italics and

bold added by me for emphasis.)

Although the revelation is directed to Daniel’s people, the Jewish nation and their holy city Jerusalem, it has tremendous implications for the rest of the world.

In order for God to make an end of sins and to bring in everlasting righteousness, He would have to do things that affect the entire world. There are only two ways to end all sins; God either converts all the sinners and give them sinless everlasting new bodies so that they sin no more; or He gets rid of all the sinners who do not want to convert, by killing them all. That is what has to happen before you can have everlasting righteousness in the entire world at the end of the (490) four hundred and ninety years. This is why I refer to this as a Doomsday Clock.

These 490 years would have concluded on or about the thirty-seventh year of our Lord, which teaches us not to set up dates even when the numbers match perfectly. God attaches variables to prophecy that only He can know. In the case of Daniel’s vision we can read the variable.

Daniel 9:26 “And after the sixty-two weeks (total of 483 years) Messiah shall be cut off…”

When we add all the numbers in verse twenty-five, they add up to 483 years, about the year thirty in our present calendar, which was when Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead on the third day; after introducing to the world the new covenant of grace.

What happened? Why did God introduce this variable?

We can learn two things from this variable. Number one, if God had brought His final judgment upon the world back then, most of the people of the world would have perished, for the majority of them had no way of knowing God’s plan of salvation or His purposes for ending life as we know it. Number two; we learned that it is going to take God seven years to carry out His final purpose for all humanity according to what God revealed to Daniel in His Doomsday Clock.

2 Peter 3:9-10 “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise (to put an end to all sin), as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us (willing to wait for His plan of salvation to be proclaimed to all the nations, to save as many as possible), not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come…”

Here we see why God opted to wait, and why His Son had to die for our sins. So, He could save as many as will accept God’s offer of grace. But God’s offer of grace has an expiration day, and when that day is reached, His Day of Judgment will come, which is referred to by Peter as the Day of the Lord, and then the end of all things will come without delay.

The Day of the Lord will be a period of seven years. Each year will have 365 days. How do we know that? The first 483 years were regular years, so the last seven years will be the same length as the first 483, otherwise, if you use prophetic years (a 360 days year), you end up 30 days short of the 490 years total. When the Lord said 490 years are determined, He meant that all of them in their entirety must be fulfilled, for every single day of the Day of the Lord is numbered.

Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”

Those who died in Christ will be raised from the dead before the Day of the Lord begins. Also, all the believers who are alive and remain will be raptured immediately after the resurrection. But those who ignored the Gospel will be left behind, and will have to live through the final hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

Revelation 3:10 “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.”

What happens to all the children who are under the age of accountability before and during that terrible Day of the Lord? The good news for us believers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that all the children of believers who are under the age of accountability are sanctified, even if they only have one parent who is a believer—they are holy— therefore they will be raptured along with the rest of us believers.

1 Corinthians 7:14 “For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the (believing) wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the (believing) husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.”

Paul is dealing with the dynamics of a married couple, one who is a believer and the other is not, and he is saying that the one who believes makes the unbelieving partner sanctified for the sake of their children—those who are under the age of accountability—so that during the rapture the children and the believing parent will be taken up, and the unbelieving parent will be left behind, for their sanctification is only for the sake of the children’s safety.

Now then, what happens to the children who have no believing parents? The answer to this fundamental question can only be answered through God’s system of righteousness and justice which are the foundation of God’s throne.

Psalm 97:2 “Clouds and darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.”

This psalm is written within the context of the rapture.

Psalm 97:6 “The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the peoples see His glory.

Revelation 6:14-17 “Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’”

Even though the Day of the Lord is a Day of Wrath for all the inhabitants of the earth who ignored God’s offered of grace and are left behind, those innocent children who are not raptureed have no say in their parent’s rebellion to the Word of God, but still they will be left behind to endure the Great Day of the Lord.

How is God’s righteousness and justice metered out to these children in the time of God’s wrath?

Habakkuk 3:2 “…In wrath remember mercy.

Revelation 9:4 “They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

We see in Revelation chapter seven that before the Day of the Lord is allowed to begin, the resurrection and rapture must take place; for God will spare those who have accepted His offer of grace from wrath. But what about the innocent children who have no parental protection? God will seal 144 thousand boys, (12,000) twelve thousand from each tribe of Israel who will represent all the innocent children that are left behind on the earth after the rapture. All the innocent children will be sealed—protected—from the calamity that follows.

After the fifth trumpet sounds, all the demons of hell are released on the earth to torment all those who ignore and reject God’s offer of grace; to show them that hell and all its torments are real. But it would be unfair to subject innocent children to these torments; those who have not reached the age of accountability and are there by no fault of their own.

Look carefully at our next Scripture’s description of who are those who have been sealed!

Revelation 14:4 “These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.

Firstfruits means: to be the primary part of a larger offering.

James 1:18 “Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

The apostles and the early Christians were a kind of firstfruits offering for those of us who have been saved centuries after their sacrifices were accepted by God. In the same manner the one hundred and forty-four thousand that will be offered as a firstfruits offering, will sanctify and protect all the innocent children that will be left behind in the world after the rapture.

Here is something new. These one hundred and forty-four thousand that will be sealed will be innocent children, those who have not reached the age of accountability. Therefore, in their mouths was found no deceit, for they are without fault before God (Rev. 14:5)

Why does God select only Jewish boys from the twelve tribes of Israel to be the core of this firstfruits offering? When the age of grace comes to a close, not one single nation out of all the nations of the world would have accepted God’s offer of grace. There will be people raptured from all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, but not one single complete nation will acknowledge Jesus as their Savior and King!

If any person or any nation rejects God’s grace, ultimately they will fall under the heavy weight of God’s law, no exceptions.

We see that for the first 1,260 days of the Day of the Lord, the entire world, all the peoples and all the nations will be judged according to God’s law; only the children who are under the age of accountability will be spared the torment. They will have to die, for under God’s law the soul that sins must die, and it is appointed unto men to die once and then face God’s judgment.

Here we see what the final result of God’s judgment is for all these innocent children who are represented by these one hundred and forty-four thousand who stand before the Lord, to be redeemed.

Revelation 14:1 “Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads.”

Glory to God! The seal that God places on all these innocent children’s foreheads is His Holy Name: THEY BELONG TO ME says the Lord! The one hundred and forty four thousand represent all the children left in the world after the rapture.

Psalm 127:3 “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is His reward.

At the end of the first half of the Day of the Lord, one thousand two hundred and sixty days, all the innocent children of the world will be removed from the world to be with the Lord forever and ever. There will be five days in between the 1260 and the 1290 for a total of 2555 days.

At the beginning and during the second half, which will be one thousand two hundred and ninety days, there will be no children left in the world. It is during this time that God will judge the nations of the world; the antichrist will be empowered to rule over them and demand that all humans receive his mark or die. It would be unfair to have children who have not reached the age of accountability to be present during this time, since someone else would have to choose their destiny for them.

Hosea 9:11 “As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird—No birth, no pregnancy, and no conception!”

God will not allow births, pregnancies or conceptions during the last half of His Day of Wrath to protect the innocent from what will be the most horrendous time in human history.

Even the women who have not repented, who are pregnant at the end of the first half of God’s Day of Wrath will have their babies removed from their womb to spare their babies from the final judgment of the second half of the Day of Wrath.

Hosea 9:16 “Ephraim is stricken, their root is dried up; They shall bear no fruit. Yes, were they to bear children, I would kill the darlings of their womb.”

Why would the God of righteousness and justice go through such extreme measures unless to protect the innocent babies from a fate far worse than anyone can imagine.

Note: If you miss the rapture of the church, the only way to get saved after that is to die a righteous death in order to enter heaven and be with Jesus.

Hosea 10:8 “Also the high places of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed. The thorn and thistle shall grow on their altars; They shall say to the mountains, ‘Cover us!’ and to the hills, ‘Fall on us!’”

The above Scripture in Hosea is a direct quote from Revelation 6:16-17, after the sixth seal is opened and the Day of the Lord is about to begin.

Revelation 6:16-17 “And said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

It is amazing to see the great lengths to which God goes to show His mercy to all His creatures.

For almost two thousand years now the mercy of God—His desire to spare His human creation from the consequences of their sin—has been and continues to be proclaimed to all the nations through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Listen to this, it is very important: While we are in this age of Grace, ANYONE who calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved; and if you have children under the age of accountability they will be sanctified by your salvation and made holy to the Lord. As a parent there is no greater satisfaction than knowing that your little one’s eternal destiny is secured.

But know this: that with the same intensity that God loves our children, He loves us too, for we once were His little children ourselves, and we can still be if only we would call Him Abba our precious heavenly Father.

Romans 10:9-10 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, YOU WILL BE SAVED. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Psalm 103:17 “But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children.”
